Tata Motors Teases its New SUV ahead of its India Launch

Tata Motors has not yet disclosed any information regarding its next vehicle. On August 27, the New Forever range SUV will be unveiled in India. Soon, Indian customers will be able to drive a special edition SUV from Tata Motors. The automaker has hinted that it will introduce the SUV soon. The automaker has not said whether it will be an electric vehicle or a standard ICE type. Only the fact that the future model would be a sports utility vehicle has been confirmed by Tata Motors. Just before the holiday season, on Saturday, August 27, the launch will take place.

Tata Motors released a brief teaser video of the forthcoming SUV on Wednesday without really revealing the vehicle in full or in part. The only mention of its “New Forever” series of SUVs in the social media post is “Arriving soon.” The Tata cars in the New Forever line are those that use the company’s Impact 2.0 design language. SUVs like the Safari, Harrier, Punch, and Nexon fall within this category.

Tata Motors had declared that it would frequently introduce new vehicles under its “New Forever” range or limited-edition versions of current models.

This strategy has led Tata Motors to release numerous iterations of its flagship SUVs, the Harrier and Safari, including Dark Edition and Gold Edition models. Along with Nexon and other SUVs earlier this year, Punch SUV, the newest model in the Tata family, too received the unique Kaziranga Edition.

Tata Motors introduced the new Dark Edition of the Harrier SUV in January of this year for a cost of 19.05 lakh. Previously, Dark Edition versions of vehicles like the Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier, and Altroz were released by Tata Motors. Additionally, the Dark Edition joins the Adventure and Gold Editions as the third exclusive variants of the Tata Safari.

Tata Motors debuted the Safari, Harrier, Nexon, and Punch SUVs’ Kaziranga Editions in February. The Nexon petrol and diesel Kaziranga editions are priced at 11,78,900 and 13,08,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively, while the Punch Kaziranga edition is priced at 858,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The prices for the Tata Harrier and Safari Kaziranga variants, respectively, are 20,40,900 and 20,99,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

0

Anker Innovations, a global leader in charging and consumer electronics, is unifying all of its popular audio products under the new Soundcore by Anker brand. Today Soundcore is announcing a new pair of true wireless ANC headphones and a pair of ANC true wireless earbuds, both at sensible prices.

“Two of the most requested features by consumers are better battery life and stronger noise canceling performance,” said Rock Gao, General Manager, Headphones for soundscore. The Space Q45 is a superbly comfortable pair of over-the-ear headphones, while the Space A40 are truly wireless earbuds with an ANC function for canceling unwanted noise. Let’s have the look at its detailed specifications and prices.

Soundcore Unveils New Wireless Earbuds And Headphones

Soundcore Q45 Over-Ear Headphones

The Space Q45 headphones are described as offering Soundcore’s “best-ever noise cancellation.” The Space Q45 are a significant step up from the previous Q35 model, which is down to a newly designed three-stage noise-canceling system. The Soundcore Space Q45 headphones are fitted 40mm, double-layer diaphragm drivers in each earcup. The drivers are made with silk and metal-ceramic material.

Space Q45 headphones also offer a customizable transparency mode that can vary using the Soundcore smartphone app. This handy function ensures the listener can be aware of hazards like traffic. The Bluetooth circuitry supports SBC, AAC and LDAC codecs, although there’s no support for the Qualcomm aptX family of codecs. The headphones can also be used in wired mode and are certified for Hi-Res listening. The Space Q45s also offer multi-point connectivity allowing them to be used with a laptop and phone simultaneously.

Soundcore Unveils New Wireless Earbuds And Headphones

Regarding battery life, Soundcore has managed to extend the performance of the Q45 to offer a respectable 50 hours of playtime with the ANC function turned on. With ANC turned off, the Q45 will play for a staggering 65 hours. Simply charging them for 5-minutes can provide up to 4 hours of playtime.

Space Q45 is available in Black for $149.99 in the US, £139.99 in the UK, €149.99 EUR in Germany / Europe and $199.99 CAD in Canada on Amazon.com, soundcore.com and other retail partners including Best Buy in the US and MediaMarkt in Germany. White and Blue models are slated to become available in selected markets later this year.

Soundcore A40 In-Ear ANC Earbuds

Soundcore’s new Space A40 true wireless earbuds were also announced today. These compact earbuds offer Adaptive ANC using a combination of noise-sensing microphones and a passive acoustic seal that work together to reduce external sounds. Space A40 offers Adaptive ANC, which means the amount of noise canceling is ramped up or reduced depending on how much external noise is being made. Like the Q45, Soundcore claims the A40 earbuds can reduce up to 98% of external noise.

It has large 10mm double-layer-diaphragm drivers made from a metal-ceramic material. The Space A40 earbuds produce powerful bass and a well-focused treble but well-balanced audio of all frequencies. Using the HearID feature in the soundcore mobile app, users can easily tailor their listening experience. A simple procedure will automatically tune the audio frequencies to their personal hearing, while the app also offers several preset sound profiles or an 8-band custom EQ for the ultimate customization.

Soundcore Unveils New Wireless Earbuds And Headphones

The A40 provides up to ten hours of battery life from a single charge and 50 hours total listening time with the pocket-sized charging case, (equating to an additional 4 charges). Additionally, the fast-charging technology offers up to 4 hours of playtime from just 10-minutes of charging time.

The Bluetooth earbuds use the latest version of the wireless protocol and support multi-point connectivity, enabling a computer and a smartphone to be connected simultaneously with smooth switching between the two. However, there’s no support for Qualcomm’s aptX family of audio codecs, but the Space A40 can offer SBC, AAC and LDAC codecs.

The A40 will be offered in three colors: Black, White, and Navy Blue. AMD EPYC Genoa 96-core beast CPU specifications leaked online

The Geekbench 5 benchmark contains the most recent evaluations of 96-Core AMD EPYC Genoa CPUs. The new benchmarks, discovered by Moe Moe, demonstrate a significant improvement in multi-threaded performance even though the chip is still operating in an early clocked mode.

The AMD EPYC Genoa CPU is the same sample that has been circulating for the previous few months. The EPYC 9000 CPU with the OPN ID “100-000000997-01” has 192 threads and 96 cores that are based on the Zen 4 core architecture. It appears that the CPU was put through its paces on a motherboard called the Suma 65GA24, which has 768 GB of DDR5 RAM.

We can see that the cache setup for the CPU has been listed incorrectly. The L3 cache should be 32 MB per CCD for a total of 384 MB and not 192 MB as shown by the program. The L2 cache is appropriately listed at 1 MB per core or 96 MB overall. Since there are 12 CCDs, the detection is accurate.

AMD
credit: wccftech

The chip was operating at a frequency of about 3.51 GHz, while the detailed JSON showed an average clock speed for all the cores of 3.49–3.50 GHz. Although the chip’s maximum and base speeds are unknown, the EPYC Genoa is compared to the EPYC Milan 7763, which has a clock speed of 2.45 GHz base and 3.5 GHz boost. Since the AMD EPYC Genoa was also operating in a 2P mode, we used a dual-socket result. There are 192 cores and 384 threads altogether.

The 96-Core AMD EPYC Genoa CPU performed well, earning 1460 points in the single-core test and 96,535 points in the multi-core testing.

The single-core test result for the AMD EPYC 7763 “Milan” CPU was 1249, and the multi-core test result was 75,539. For single- and multi-threaded workloads, respectively, the improvements are 17% and 28%. Both numbers are now extremely near to the >15% single-threaded and >35% multi-threaded performance enhancements AMD has praised for its Zen 4 cores compared to Zen 3 performance.

AMD
credit: wccftech

It’s difficult to say whether Geekbench 5 is optimized enough to support the 384 threads that the AMD EPYC Genoa chip can support, but looking at the clock speeds, it appears that this number may also be inaccurate, as the >15% single-threaded gain AMD mentioned was a result of a combination of IPC and frequency (8–9% IPC gain alone).

Both chips are shown to be operating at clock speeds of roughly 3.5 GHz. As you can see, there are some problems with the benchmark’s reporting of clocks, or Genoa’s AVX-512 instructions may be effective in this case, but even so, Genoa outperforms Milan in terms of performance, and once the finished product is released, we can anticipate even better results.

Intel signs $30 billion deal with Brookfield Asset Management for the Financing of Chip Factories

To help finance its plans for factory growth, Intel Corp. INTC has formed an unusual $30 billion fundraising partnership with Brookfield Asset Management Inc. BAM, indicating that some significant investors are optimistic about the long-term need for semiconductors.

The deal with the publicly traded Canadian asset management company is the first of what might be some similar agreements Intel pursues to support Chief Executive Pat Gelsinger’s drive to establish the company as a leading contract chip maker and reclaim its manufacturing advantage over rivals in Taiwan and South Korea.

According to the agreement, which business executives hailed as a first for the sector, Intel would contribute 51% of the cost to the construction of new chip-making facilities in Chandler, Arizona, and would hold a majority stake in the financing vehicle that would be in charge of purchasing the new factories, according to Intel Chief Financial Officer David Zinsner. The remaining equity will be owned by Brookfield, and the firms will split the profits generated by the plants, he added.

Intel
credit: thewallstreetjournal

Such transactions are prevalent in sectors like electricity and telecoms, according to Scott Peak, a managing partner in Brookfield’s infrastructure department, and are gradually making their way into the chip industry due to its expanding capital requirements. According to him, Brookfield, which has more than $750 billion in assets under management, believes the Intel merger fits well with the company’s background in significant and complicated transactions.

The action would prevent Intel from having to rely more on borrowing to finance its expansion, which might harm the company’s rating, according to Bernstein Research analyst Stacy Rasgon.

It would also preserve cash to let Intel continue paying dividends. Tuesday’s afternoon trade saw a small increase in the price of Intel. Even while short-term demand softness is hurting chip-sector revenues, Mr. Gelsinger and other industry leaders have stated that they anticipate annual semiconductor sales to approximately double by the end of the decade and surpass $1 trillion.

In a $20 billion expansion announced last year, Intel would build two new plants in Arizona, where it already manufactures chips. But according to Mr. Zinsner, the amount was only an early estimate, and inflation since then has increased the price. Additionally, Intel has stated that it may invest up to $100 billion in new plant complexes in Germany and Ohio.

Chips are more expensive to produce as circuitry gets smaller and smaller—to the diameter of a human hair—in increasingly sophisticated chips. According to Boston Consulting Group research, a large, modern chip facility can cost more than a modern aircraft carrier or nuclear power station today.

The ambitious goals of Intel have dampened investor confidence. Its share price fell more than 45% on Monday, compared to an 8% decline in the PHLX Semiconductor Index since Mr. Gelsinger revealed his intention to start a semiconductor company last year.

Intel
credit: thewallstreetjournal

The company has also been hurt by manufacturing errors and a decline in demand for personal computers, which use its processors, following a spike in purchases during the pandemic. Intel reported a deficit for the second quarter and a significant decline in sales.

Intel is relying on financial assistance from the government. Political figures in the U.S. and Europe have expressed a desire to boost domestic chip production and halt the industry’s move to Asia, where manufacturing has historically been less expensive.

According to Boston Consulting Group, the United States share of the global chip market has decreased to roughly 12%. This month, President Biden signed legislation authorizing more than $50 billion for domestic semiconductor manufacturing and research. Chipmakers like Intel and others actively advocated for the legislation. By 2030, the European Union wants to double its market share in the production of chips to 20%.

Glass Onion: Knives Out: The Mystery thriller unlocks the first look of Daniel Craig

Glass Onion: A Knives Out has revealed the first look at Rian Johnson’s murder mystery. The multi-cast film follows a spiritual sequel of Rian’s  Academy  Award-nominated Knives Out that has featured Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, and Toni  Colette among the others.

In the second part, we will once again watch Craig’s Detective Benoit Blanc investigating the fresh case, for which he will be able to travel all the way to Greece. The story of the show having a follow-up to Rian Johnson’s show Knives Out, there is a detective Benoit Blanc who has set out for Greece to peel back the layers of such mystery getting involved with a new cast of colorful suspects.

Knives

In a Netflix interview, the filmmaker Rian Johnson exposed that in the new feature we may get to know about the character of Daniel Craig that’s much better than we had done in the original.

The director opened, “ In the first one, because of the way it was structured, Marta, Ana de Armas’ character, was very much the protagonist. Ina big way, Blanc was the threat. He was almost the protagonist in terms of just the story structure, because you become worried, that even as they become closer, that was going to catch her and he was going to turn her over at the end.

So, Blanc was always outside and also was a little bit more of an enigma in the first film. Whereas, in this one, Blanch gets an invitation to come to this murder mystery on this island. We’re very much meeting these people  and also getting into this world through his eyes,”

Johnson also exposed how he got a chance upon the interesting title of the film and told, “ So, the idea of glass came to me., something that’s clear I’ll be very honest. I literally get out my iPhone and searched my music library along with the word ‘glass’. There’s got to be some good glass songs. I was like, “Oh, is it  a glass fortress? Is it a glass castle? Is it a  glass man?” the first noticeable thing that came up, as  I’m  a huge  Beatles fan, is ‘Glass Onion”

In this show, we will also see Jessica Henwick, Etan Hawke, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, and many others.
