This is why QSI want to buy a Premier League club soon

Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) have built their reputation off of their ownership of PSG for the last decade. Since purchasing the club for £61 million in 2012, they have spent £1.5 billion in transfer fees alone, and have boosted its value up to £4 billion. 

Now, it appears that QSI are planning to buy a Premier League club. And in this article, we will try to go over the reasons why they are interested in such a plan. 

The reason why QSI want to buy a Premier League club 

The first major reason is that PSG are already one of the biggest clubs in Europe. They only have the Champions League left to add to their collection, having dominated French domestic football for years. As a result, there is not much left to do in terms of their sporting project. They already have some of the biggest players in the sport and have little more to achieve there. 

The other reason is sports washing. Which means using sports to divert attention from any negativity surrounding organisations. QSI want to diversify their revenue streams since its reliance on gas can only be for so long. 

Between 2017 and 2021, borders between Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar were shut off due to tension between these countries. And the royal family of Qatar is hopeful that the ownership of a Premier League team could buy them global support in case things go south down the line. 

Manchester United and Liverpool are both looking for new owners right now – which presents the perfect opportunity for them to come in. While there are many other bidders in the race to buy these clubs, the sheer wealth of the QSI cannot be understated. And their financial aid to any PL club will help put up a direct battle with Abu Dhabi-owned Manchester City.

OnePlus is finally making a bold move by launching multiple products on its Cloud 11 launch event scheduled to take place in Delhi on February 7th. Not only its flagship OnePlus 11 smartphone will be launched, but also, a wide range of new products will be introduced including OnePlus Keyboard, OnePlus TV 65 Q2 Pro, this OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and much more.

Much expectedly, even before launching the images though have already been leaked and while some specs were known until now, we know everything about the upcoming TWS earbuds from OnePlus. Because it’s from OnePlus, expect most of these products to be available via Amazon India though except OnePlus 11, this time others could launch on Flipkart as well.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Specifications

This new TWS earbuds will be the new flagship one from the brand replacing its current Buds Pro, which was again well received by most. So, this OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will be available in two colour options: Arbor Green and Obsidian Black. In terms of dimensions, the case will measure 25.4 x 25.4 x 25.4 cm and weigh only 453.59 grams.

OnePlus has joined hands with Dynaudio this time to tune this upcoming TWS resulting in upto 99.6% of effective noise cuts, upto 48dB deep active noise reduction, and up to upto 4000Hz ultra-wideband vocal noise reduction. So, expect better noise cancellation than its predecessor, also thanks to 3 ENC noise-reducing microphones that will help for better sound reception on the other hand.

The earphone also has a response range of 10Hz~40KHz and has support for spatial audio as well, which will again make this TWS earbuds special. Lastly, talking about battery life, this OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is expected to provide up to 39 hours of playtime with a charging case which is quite good honestly but if ANC is turned on it reduces to 22 hours. However, by keeping ANC enabled, the buds can run for around 6 hours and by keeping it off you can extend it to 9 hours.

Apple to start manufacturing 25% of iPhones in India, according to Minister

Apple is reportedly looking to increase the percentage of iPhones that are manufactured in India. According to a statement made by India’s IT Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, the company is planning to manufacture 25% of its iPhones in the country.

This move is seen as a way for them to tap into India’s growing smartphone market and reduce its reliance on China, where the majority of its devices are currently manufactured. India is the second-largest smartphone market in the world and has a rapidly growing middle class that is increasingly buying high-end smartphones.

The Indian government has been encouraging companies to manufacture their products in the country through a program called “Make in India.” This initiative aims to boost the country’s manufacturing sector and create jobs. Apple’s decision to manufacture more iPhones in India is seen as a win for the program and the country’s economy.

Apple’s manufacturing partner in India is Foxconn, which already has a factory in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. The company plans to expand this factory to increase production capacity. This move is expected to create jobs and boost the local economy.

In the international markets, Motorola has introduced numerous new G-series phones. These include the G series smartphones. The more expensive model in the family is the Moto G73 5G. It comes in as the G72’s replacement, which debuted last year.

The most recent product has improved specs over the model before it. The Moto G53 5G made its debut in China last month and has the same features in all markets.

It starts with the Moto G73 5G, which has a 6.5-inch screen with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display features a bottom broad chin and a punch-hole cutout in the centre that is aligned. Stereo speakers calibrated by Dolby Atmos are included in the device.

The power button contains a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Moto G73 5G includes a rectangular camera module on the back panel that houses a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 16MP selfie camera.

The MediaTek Dimensity 930 processor is found inside the Moto G73 5G. It has 256GB of inbuilt storage in addition to up to 8GB of RAM. A 5,000mAh battery unit, capable of 30W fast charging, powers the gadget. The smartphone comes pre-installed with the modern UI of Android 13 as far as software is concerned.

The G73 5G’s display, battery, and charging speed are all shared by the Moto G53 5G as well. On the gadget, there is an 8MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and other cameras. The Moto G53 G is available with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and is powered by a Snapdragon 480+ chipset on the inside. 64GB and 128GB of storage are available.

The starting price for the Motorola G73 5G is EUR 299, while that of the G53 5G is EUR 249. Ink Blue and Lucent White are available in the former, whereas Pale Pink, Ink Blue, and Arctic Silver are available in the latter.

Ronald Koeman has returned to the Netherlands national team as their new head coach, and begins his second spell with them. 

He was named the successor to Louis Van Gaal last year itself, and following the 2022 World Cup, he has been officially presented by the board. The 59-year-old has promised to make the team more attacking, which was one of the main criticisms for his predecessor. 

Ronald Koeman becomes Netherlands head coach once again 

“In the Netherlands we try to play — and that is often the most difficult path — good, attractive, attacking football,” he said.

“20 internationals without losing — it would be unbelievable if I also manage that.”

But, he added: “I think it can be done differently and I want to do it differently.”

“I have to demonstrate I can be a successful coach who is successful at a major tournament,” he said. “The first step is qualifiers for the European Championship that begins in March.”

During his first spell in charge of the Oranje, Ronald Koeman left to take charge of Barcelona, where he made a name for himself as one of the best centre-backs. His attacking approach was on display during his playing days as well, since he remains one of the highest goal-scoring defenders yet. 

The first big challenge for Koeman upon his return to the post will be to seal qualification for the 2024 Euros, and their first game is against France. They will also have to face Ireland, Greece and Gibraltar on their way to the tournament in Germany.

Lionel Messi has not accepted any contract proposal from any club as of yet. The Argentinian was rumoured to have a blockbuster proposal from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, but there is little proof to substantiate the same. 

Following his World Cup win as the captain of the Argentina national team, he is believed to have a verbal agreement with PSG for a new deal. And so far, nothing has changed between Messi and his club to continue for the foreseeable future.

The 35-year-old was also rumoured to have an offer from MLS – and in particular, David Beckham’s Inter Miami. However, he hasn’t agreed anything with them as of yet either. 

PSG are very keen on continuing with Messi. In fact, they are quite determined to separate his identity with that of Barcelona and want him to retire in Paris. That decision is up to the player, but it remains to be seen how long the extension with PSG will be for. 

Lionel Messi has been in fine form throughout the 22/23 season, and has continued to perform after the World Cup as well. The forward is en route to winning a domestic league title with the Parisians, and his side will also be favoured to win the Champions League considering their stacked squad. 

A new meeting with him and his father and agent, Jorge Messi, will take place in the coming weeks. Once the details of the contract have been ironed out, an official announcement can be expected from the club about his renewal.

Tottenham Hotspur have hijacked the transfer of Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal to Everton. They have agreed a loan deal for the forward, in a seemingly crazy situation. 

Everton had a full agreement with Villarreal, and also had the player’s approval. However, Spurs have swooped in and quickly negotiated with the La Liga club, while also securing personal terms with Danjuma to sign him. He is now on his way to London to sign for Antonio Conte’s side. 

Arnaut Danjuma to sign for Tottenham instead of Everton 

What makes the situation even more remarkable is that he completed his medical and media shoot for being presented as an Everton player last weekend. But, while there was an agreement, nothing was signed beforehand. 

As a result, Tottenham have taken advantage of the situation and have taken him up on a loan deal. The option to make the temporary move permanent could be included in the contract as well.
