The flagship GeForce RTX 4090 features the NVIDIA AD103 GPU core with 76 SMs or 9728 CUDA cores, the same core configuration as the desktop-class RTX 4080, and TGP options ranging from 150W to 175W (+25W Dynamic Boost). The 150W TGP target will have a base clock range of 1590 MHz and a boost clock range of 2040 MHz. In addition, there is a 25W Dynamic Boost that allows for even higher boost clocks.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB, on the other hand, has 58 SMs with 7424 cores and a memory configuration with 12 GB GDDR6 capacity running across a 192-bit interface. The GPU is the Ada AD104 design, which is a scaled-down version of the chip used in the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Desktop graphics card. In fact, the GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU has nearly 24% fewer cores than the RTX 4080 desktop graphics card.

Rumor: Apple reportedly going with “Buttonless design” for its future upcoming iPhone Models

Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, was the first to report that the volume and power buttons on this year’s two high-end iPhone models will use a solid-state design, similar to the iPhone 7’s home button, rather than a mechanical button design that physically depresses. Apple employs a similar technique for its Mac trackpads, which do not physically move but instead simulate the sensation of being pressed with small vibrations.

According to reports, the new iPhones will include additional Taptic Engines on the internal left and right sides to provide physical feedback to users, making it appear as if they are pressing real buttons. The number of Taptic Engines in each iPhone will increase from one to three as a result of the change.

Barclays later appeared to confirm Kuo’s report, claiming that Apple supplier Cirrus Logic may have hinted at iPhone 15 Pro models receiving haptic buttons in 2023 – something Kuo later noted with specific mention of Cirrus Logic benefiting from Apple orders to bring the feature about this year.

Analyst Jeff Pu has also stated that the iPhone 15 Pro models will have solid-state volume and power buttons with haptic feedback thanks to two additional Taptic Engines, indicating that there appears to be a growing consensus among analysts on the change.

Apple was rumoured to be planning a switch to solid-state buttons for the Apple Watch several years ago, but the switch never happened.

Apple

Solid-state buttons were said to improve water resistance and take up less internal space at the time, but it is unclear if that will be the case for the iPhone because space for two more Taptic Engines will be required.

According to iPhone rumours from 2021, Apple may return to round volume buttons like the iPhone 4, 4S, 5, and 5S models, so such a change could finally happen this year alongside the switch to solid-state buttons. Round buttons would not only have a larger surface area for the touch contact required for haptic buttons, but they would also be noticeably different from any iPhone model released in recent years, indicating the presence of the new feature. The iPhone 15 Pro schematics that have leaked do not specify whether the device will have round or oblong volume buttons.

Because the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to retain traditional clickable volume and power buttons, it appears likely that Apple will need to highlight some kind of significant improvement or new functionality to successfully upsell customers to the buttonless design.

Fields of Dreams: Delta Corp and Forca Goa Foundation embark on a journey to revolutionise Indian football grassroots

~ Under the CSR initiative, three grounds refurbished in Goa will impact the lives of more than 10,000 families in the surrounding areas ~

With the aim to kick-start India’s biggest grassroots-level football revolution, Forca Goa Foundation (FGF) the sister-concern of FC Goa, the renowned Indian Super League football club, in association with Delta Corp Limited, today launched the ‘Fields of Dreams’ project.

The launch event, staged in Monte de Guirim, Goa saw  Mr. Mauvin Godinho,  Honourable Minister For Transport, Industries, Panchayati Raj, Trade And Commerce, Protocol & Hospitality, Government of Goa and Mr. Jaydev Mody, Chairman of Delta Corp flag off the project, in the presence of dignitaries such as Mr. Akshay Tandon – Executive Director of FGF and President of FC Goa, Mr Shaji Prabhakaran – AIFF General Secretary, Mr Caitano Fernandes – GFA President, Mr. Anil Malani, President-Operations, Deltin and FC Goa players.

Under this project, FGF is committed to enhancing the lives of children and communities in the country, starting with Goa with the financial support of Delta Corp. This project also aims to bridge the gap in grassroots football development by facilitating state of the art football grounds accessible to all.

This is a one-of-a-kind initiative that looks to redefine what grassroots football can do for Goa and India by creating ‘Fields of Dreams’ – spaces where the local community can truly be uplifted and have access to opportunities previously unavailable to them.

The revamped football grounds are equipped with state-of-the-art playing surfaces with a sand base, efficient drainage and sprinkling systems, and other necessary infrastructure.

Supporting the initiative, the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant said, “Football is part of the identity of Goa. It’s one of our greatest passions. Over the years, footballers from the State have been a source of inspiration and pride. Fields of Dreams is a project that is very close to my heart.

“This project has the potential to make a profound impact in the lives of all Goans. I would like to laud Delta Corp and the Forca Goa Foundation for their vision and the tireless effort they have put in to bring this to life.

“To see so many children here take to the field fills my heart with great joy and excitement. I hope that this project sets an example for others to come to the fore as we all look to grow together.”

Delta Corp, one of India’s leading gaming and hospitality companies, is dedicated to uplift the sports culture in India and Goa with the launch of the ‘Field of Dreams’ project. Through this project, the sports infrastructure will be further strengthened to benefit local communities, providing them with improved sports facilities and opportunities.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Jaydev Mody, Chairman, Delta Corp, said, “We are very happy to collaborate with FGF to launch the ‘Field of Dreams’ project in Goa. We are confident that this project will help in developing football talent in the state and further give a real boost to the country. It will allow children to explore their talents and pursue their dreams.

“This project is a testament to Delta Corp Limited’s commitment to the development of the people of Goa and is a part of our larger mission to create a better future for India. We look forward to having more such collaborations for the betterment of society.

Fields of Dreams will not only see the development of football turfs and provision of basic footballing infrastructure, but also other facilities for the community that include but not limited to a community hall, organic food gardens and areas for the elderly to gather. It will be a true amalgamation of how football can bring people together.”

Highlighting the importance of this project, Mr. Akshay Tandon, Executive Director of Forca Goa Foundation and President of FC Goa, said, “We conducted a study on 196 football fields in Goa 6 years back. The findings revealed that only a small percentage of the pitches were fit for safe and accessible play. Approximately 90% of the fields are neglected and have none or sub-par facilities. This gap propelled the Foundation to launch ‘Fields of Dreams’ with funding support of Delta Corp”

He further added, “The youth of India deserve a fair chance at honing their skills and pursuing their dreams. With the ‘Field of Dreams’ project, I believe we will be making tangible impacts to people’s lives. We estimate to have impacted 5000 families with our pilot project in Salvador and the grounds in Guirim will further impact more than 20,000 people in the surrounding regions.”

OnePlus 11R hands-on: The Made-For-India affordable flagship is promising!

0

OnePlus just launched the India-only OnePlus 11R smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ at an incredible starting price of Rs.40k. So, we were at the event using this device for a brief time but yes it’s promising.

OnePlus 11R hands-on: Affordable and Made-For-India

The last time we tried both OnePlus 10R and 10T but they lacked that subtle OnePlus premiumness you expect. However, this time they neither have compromised on the performance nor on the quality, even though they are made up of plastic, it feels premium, unlike the 10R.

OnePlus 11R hands-on: The Made-For-India affordable flagship is promising!

This OnePlus 11R features a fluid and smooth and the display is again top-notch which you generally expect from OnePlus. It’s a 120Hz Super Fluid AMOLED display, making it very comparable to the pricier brother OnePlus 11, while the screen is slightly curved to give a premium appeal to it.

The Adaptive Dynamic Frame Rate helps a lot when you scroll around the apps a lot, adapt and save battery life, however, with up to 1,450 nits of peak brightness and covering 100% DCI-P3, OnePlus has no cost cutting here. The display also comes with TÜV SÜD Precise Touching S Rating, which also supports HDR10 & HDR10+ for enhanced content consumption.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ is an improved chip over the 8 Gen 1 and is much more efficient, paired with the incredible LPDDR5X RAM up to 16GB and UFS 3.1 storage, you get flagship-level performance at affordable pricing. Made exclusively for India, OnePlus uses the same Vapor Chamber cooling as the OnePlus 11, so expect good everyday performance as well.

While OnePlus claims that it can open up to 44 apps simultaneously as its brother OnePlus 11, the 11R makes sense because of the pricing it has in India. While giving last-gen flagship chipsets does help reduce the costs a bit and most people will be satisfied with the performance.

OnePlus 11R hands-on: The Made-For-India affordable flagship is promising!

Coming to the looks, OnePlus has retained its iconic look but has made the body plastic though I would the colors to look really charming. Both Sonic Black and Galactic Silver look cool, personally, the Silver one is kind of nostalgic. The camera bump is not soo huge compared to the OnePlus 11 but has the same essence here and there, personally, I won’t complain about the plastic body much, as it makes the phone lighter but still has a premium appeal to it.

OnePlus has even provided an IMX890 Triple camera system which should be a greater improvement over the blunt/unstable camera we saw with the OnePlus 10R. It’s great to see OnePlus retain the 100W SuperVOOC S fast charging from its flagship brother along with a battery health engine. The OnePlus 11R is incredibly light but comes with the latest connectivity standards including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C.

Personally, I loved this OnePlus 11R and how brilliantly it has been priced specifically for India, now with all features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby Atmos, and an alarm slider, I saw the OnePlus community happiest ever! I got the sense that this OnePlus 11R will be the one which most Indians will actually target but

OnePlus Pad hands-on: A new era is coming!

0

The OnePlus Pad is here and coming to market soon but yes it’s a really promising tablet from OnePlus. Yes, it is their first tablet ever and it is cool from every angle we saw at the Cloud 11 event.

OnePlus Pad – How does it look like

Though we saw people are hyped about the new OnePlus 11 series the crowd and eventually the community is waiting for this OnePlus Pad only. We got a first look at this tablet and yes it’s premium, lightweight, and could live up to what OnePlus is claiming.

OnePlus Pad 1 OnePlus Pad hands-on: A new era is coming!

Being the first 7:5 aspect ratio Android tablet, this one is quite different from the others. Having a very bright, color-accurate and high refresh rate display rate helps the OnePlus Pad to be unique in its own way. Powered by the Dimensity 9000 chipset, equivalent to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, this should be a real performer as well.

We took the OnePlus Pad in our hands and as you see it really looks premium with that green color which is almost the same as the OnePlus 11 as well. It’s incredibly light while still accompanying a massive 9,500mAh battery inside which claims to give a 1-month standby battery life.

OnePlus Pad 2 OnePlus Pad hands-on: A new era is coming!

Though not AMOLED, this should help OnePlus aggressively price its new Android tablet which is said to bring impressive features to help OnePlus users extend their smartphone usage to tablets. From features like 5G data streaming to seamless connectivity across all OnePlus devices, the OEM is trying directly challenge the fundamentals in which Apple is already successful.

OnePlus Pad has sleek edges and a big display to enjoy, personally, in brief usage, it seems promising to us but more can be known once we have it in our hands. OnePlus will also be bundling a keyboard folio and a stylus that matches the overall color scheme.

OnePlus Pad 3 OnePlus Pad hands-on: A new era is coming!

The brand even compared its OnePlus Pad to Apple and other Android tablets outside the Rs.40k price segment, so, it’s suspected the pricing will be in that price mark. Launching in April in India, we expect more insights on the same soon, till then stay thrilled about this exciting device.

Manchester City FFP breach: Full analysis of all the allegations between 2009-18

0

Manchester City have been charged with a breach of Financial Fair Play regulations by the Premier League for the last decade. Between 2009 and 2018, the club has been charged with 98 instances of breaking the financial regulations.

In 2018, German publication Der Spiegel released financial documents that laid bare their FFP infringements. They later revealed that the president of the club, Sheikh Mansour, had been negotiating inflated deals with Emirati sponsors to increase the revenue of the club on the books.

How Manchester City breached FFP rules over the last decade

All of the sponsors that the club had agreed deals with, were close to the UAE government. Moreover, last April, Der Spiegel revealed that the club had signed an underage player by paying millions to the agent in a triangular deal.

The intention behind these deals was for City to comply with UEFA’s limits for losses between 2012 and 2016. At the time, they denied any wrongdoing, and went on to state that the documents were obtained in a criminal manner. They also stated that it was a deliberate attempt to tarnish the reputation of the club.

Former Manchester City head coach Roberto Mancini was also involved in the Football Leaks investigation. Der Spiegel revealed that he received payments as a fictitious consultant to Al Jazira. This led to him receiving €1.9 million in addition to the €1.6 million he was earning at the time.

City already faced action in 2020, and were banned from UEFA competitions. But their appeal was successful to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, and the ban was overturned with the fine being reduced from €30 million to €10 million.

And it now remains to be seen how the investigation and proceedings will be carried for the allegations made by the Premier League.
