Neymar posts chats with his Brazilian teammates revealing the World Cup 2022 exit is hurting them more

0

Brazil were deemed one of the favourites to win the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 considering the number of talents they had in their ranks. However, the journey of the South American team ended in the quarter-finals against Croatia.

Modric, Brozovic and Kovacic dominated the midfield and nullified Brazil’s attack to some extent. However, when Neymar scored a goal in the first half of extra-time after the match finished 0-0 in 90 minutes, everyone thought it was the last roll of the dice as Brazil was about to qualify. But Croatia had other things in mind as Petkovic scored late in the second half of extra time and took the match into the penalties.

Livakovic saved the very first of Brazil’s penalties taken by Rodrygo and ultimately won the shootout as Marquinhos missed his penalty. Neymar was scheduled to take the fifth penalty but it didn’t come so far as Croatia won 4-2 on penalties. He was also considering his international future post this painful loss.

Neymar reveals chat with his Brazilian teammates revealing the World Cup 2022 exit is hurting them more

The exit from the World Cup 2022 is hurting the Brazilian players badly. It is now been further revealed by Neymar’s Instagram stories. The PSG star posted his conversations with his Brazilian teammates, more precisely Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Rodrygo, without their permission to show the world that the players are more saddened by the loss.

Marquinhos

Neymar wrote to his club teammate: “Passing by to tell you that I’m your fan. A penalty won’t change what I think of you. I’m with you forever, you know it. Let time pass. I more than anyone know that everything passes, good and bad moment alike. Stay strong, enjoy your family’s company and never forget that beside being your colleague I’m your friend and I want your well being. I love you and we keep going together.”

“I really wanted everything to go well, but we have to be strong, give it time and see what football has in store for us,” Marquinhos replied.

Thiago Silva

Neymar wrote his captain: “We’re gonna have to keep going bro, sadly that’s how it is! I wanted to give you this cup. You, me and Dani [Alves] deserved a lot. But God has our purpose and he knows everything.”

Silva wrote: “Brother, it’s more f**ked up than I imagined, really. I can’t take it. I can’t believe we lost. I can’t believe it. Every time I think about it I want to cry, motherf**ker.”

Rodrygo Goes

Neymar wrote to Rodeygo: “Brother, I’m here to tell you that you’re amazing. It’s an honor to be able to be a part of your career, hear you say that I’m your idol and watch you become one of the best players in the history of Brazil! The only people that miss penalties are the ones that take them, I already missed a lot in my career and I learned from all of them. But I never gave up and always tried to be better.”

Further Rodrygo apologised for missing the first penalty, to which Neymar replied: “Don’t you f*g apologize! Are you crazy? The only people that miss are the ones that take them, you’re a beast! I will teach you later how to take them. We stay together! Take care.”

Erik Ten Hag expects Marcus Rashford to stay at Manchester United beyond 2024

Erik Ten Hag has spoken out on Marcus Rashford’s brilliant form under his management, and on his future. The England international’s contract runs out in 2023, but there is an option for a further year on the side of the club.

Which means that he is expected to stay at Old Trafford until 2024. And Ten Hag has confirmed that he will be doing so. Manchester United are keen on extending his stay beyond his current deal, and could find an agreement now that his duty with England is over.

Erik Ten Hag praises Marcus Rashford and confirms plans to stay

“He [Marcus Rashford] has to make a decision,” Erik Ten Hag said, according to United’s official website. “The only thing we can do is show him this is the best club to be in, which has to do with the culture of the club and also in the way we are working, in the way we play and the way we train and if we are offering the right environment to progress.

”It’s a financial issue as well. Then it is up to him to make the decision. But for one-and-a-half years, he will be here.“

“From the first moment, I recognised huge potential,” added the manager. “And now to get out the potential, I believe when Marcus’s positioning is on the back of the defending line, there is almost no better player in the world.

”There is Mbappe in this moment, a type like him, but when he [Marcus] is getting in that position, he’s great and you see he’s really improved also out of possession.“

Brazil planning massive changes following shock World Cup 2022 exit

0

Brazil are planning to make big changes following their elimination from the 2022 World Cup. The South American giants were eliminated at the quarter final stages by Croatia on penalties. They had one of the best squads heading into the tournament, and were one of the favourites to win.

Tite has stepped down from his post as the head coach of the national team following their exit. He was in charge for six years, and led the team to successive World Cups – winning 60, with 15 draws and just one defeat in 81 matches, in which Brazil scored 174 goals and conceded 30.

Brazil planning squad overhaul in the coming years

Tite won the 18/19 Copa America with the Selecao, and led them to the finals of the competition last year. But the last time they progressed to the finals of the competition was all the way back in 2002 when they beat Germany in the finals.

Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti have been linked as the top names to replace Tite. Ancelotti is currently focused on Real Madrid, and wants to finish the season with them. But, he could take charge in mid 2023 once his commitment to Los Blancos ends.

Moreover, the playing squad will also undergo several changes. The likes of Thiago Silva, Dani Alves and Neymar could retire from the national team following the tournament. But, this will pave the way for young stars like Eder Militao, Vinicius Jr, Antony, Endrick and Rodrygo to step up.

As a result, we could see a very different Brazil team when the 2026 World Cup comes around in North America.

World Cup 2022 semifinals preview – Who will make it to the finals?

0

The semifinals of the 2022 World Cup are set, with Argentina taking on 2018 finalists Croatia while the defending champions France battle underdogs Morocco.

The two games will be played on the 13fh and 14th of December, with Argentina’s game against Croatia first, before France vs Morocco. The two teams eliminated from the semi-finals will play the third place play-off one day before the finals, on December 17.

Argentina vs Croatia – World Cup 2022 Preview

Lionel Messi’s Argentina are one of the favourites to win the tournament this year. And they have been playing like champions throughout the campaign. Their first defeat against Saudi Arabia seems like a distant memory now, with a place in the last four sealed.

Croatia have won both their knockout games on penalties, while Argentina did the same with their quarter final fixture against Netherlands.

Both teams possess immense quality across the field, but Croatia have shown the heart and passion to come back from losing positions to win. It will be a battle for the ages between two of the top-performing teams in the World Cup this year, for a coveted spot in the finals.

France vs Morocco – World Cup 2022 preview

A true David vs Goliath fixture if there was one this year, the defending champions have their eyes set on the trophy once again. But, Morocco are yet to let an opposition player score against them at the World Cup.

France have shown that they possess the quality to unlock the tightest of defenses – and Morocco’s resolute low block will have to be on point to cope with the immense pressure.

Despite the mismatch in the perceived quality between the two teams, it will be a match decided on the finest of margins, given the way things have been going.

Suicide Group: Kill the Justice League to release on May 26th, 2023 with The Legendary Late Kevin Conroy voicing Batman

0

Suicide Group: Kill the Justice League will pit the titular squad against Batman, who will be voiced by none other than the late Kevin Conroy. According to Game Awards 2022 host Geoff Keighley, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on May 26 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.

Kevin Conroy, a long-time Batman voice actor, died last month at the age of 66. Conroy was best recognized for voicing Batman in Batman: The Animated Series, a role he reprised in Rocksteady Studios’ acclaimed Batman: Arkham games. Conroy’s portrayal as Batman in the Batman: Arkham games were praised, but with Batman: Arkham Knight essentially shutting the book on Batman’s saga, many expected Conroy would play the character for the last time in Rocksteady’s Arkhamverse.

However, in an emotional and surprising statement, it has been confirmed that Conroy will be voicing Batman one last time in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. In the new game, Brainiac has brainwashed Batman and the other members of the Justice League, so Amanda Waller organizes the titular Suicide Squad to wipe them out.

In the new clip, gamers can see that the Suicide Squad members have successfully apprehended The Flash, but it’s unclear how they did it.

In any event, Flash suffers a finger amputation at the hands of Captain Boomerang, although he appears to be too battered to do much about it. Fortunately for The Flash, but sadly for the Suicide Squad, Batman appears at the end of the trailer to fight the squad.

This is the same Batman from previous Batman: Arkham games, but he, like the other Justice League members, is controlled by Brainiac. This means he’s willing to kill, making Batman even more deadly than he was before. Needless to say, the Suicide Squad will have their work cut out for them if they hope to survive. As the teaser concludes, Batman is shown pushing a detonator, implying that fans will have to wait to play the game to find out what happens next.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches May 26, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.

Asus showcases its first 27-inch OLED Gaming Monitor on Twitter

0

Asus announced an all-new, 240 Hz 1440p ROG gaming monitor with OLED display panel technology in a Twitter tweet by ROG Global. The monitor is dubbed the PG27AQDM, and it will be Asus’ first OLED gaming monitor with a 27-inch panel. The display will be completely shown at CES 2023, where we can expect precise specifications, first impressions, and ideally the monitor’s pricing – which will almost certainly be quite high.

The sneak peek shows the monitor’s design language, which includes the same red and grey ROG theme as other ROG displays, as well as the same triple-legged stand. What distinguishes the monitor is the razor-thin shroud that surrounds the display’s outside edges. This is a feature of OLED’s self-illuminating technology, which requires less total depth from the monitor to function than other display technologies and gives the screen a futuristic appearance.

The PG27AQDM is the smallest 27-inch OLED display we’ve seen from Asus to date.

This alone will be a significant feature for most gamers, as Asus’ prior OLED implementations were only available in huge format panels measuring more than 40 inches. The 27-inch form factor is ideal for customers who sit at standard monitor viewing distances yet want all of the benefits that OLED has to offer. The majority of the greatest gaming monitors are either 27 or 32 inches in size.

With a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 1440p (2560 x 1440) display, Asus is obviously targeting hardcore gamers looking for the most responsive panel available. OLED technology is naturally superior in this area, providing not only superior colours and brightness for more accurate detection of threats, but also industry-leading response speeds.

FTC trying to prevent Microsoft from taking over Activision

0

The Federal Trade Commission filed a complaint on Thursday attempting to halt Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, claiming that it will hurt competitors by denying them access to popular titles such as Call of Duty. According to the agency, Microsoft has a history of denying competitors access to content it has acquired. Microsoft claims that its proposed bid will increase competition.

According to the FTC, when Microsoft acquired ZeniMax (the parent company of Bethesda Softworks), it told European antitrust authorities that it would not withhold titles from competing console systems. However, after the transaction was consummated, Microsoft made the Starfield and Redfall titles exclusives.

Activision Blizzard, a leading independent game publisher, now sells its products on all platforms, including Microsoft’s Xbox and Windows, Sony’s PlayStation, and Nintendo’s Switch, to mention a few. Furthermore, Activision owns some of the world’s most popular games, like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch, so if Microsoft decides to punish its competitors by banning access to these games, it will effect hundreds of millions of gamers globally.

The FTC is far from the only institution or organisation attempting to stymie Microsoft’s proposed $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision, which could become the largest game industry transaction ever and one of the largest mergers in high-tech history.

Several antitrust agencies are thoroughly analysing the proposed bid. Many firms, including Microsoft’s competitor Sony, claimed that Microsoft will make popular Activision Blizzard titles exclusive to its consoles and cloud gaming platform.

It is not the first time the FTC has filed a lawsuit to prevent a huge acquisition transaction. The FTC filed a complaint to prohibit the Nvidia-Arm merger in December 2021, expressing worries that if Nvidia controls Arm, it will withhold certain technologies from competitors in order to gain an advantage over them. The idea was cancelled by Nvidia in February 2022, citing major regulatory obstacles.
