Blast OTT Release Date Confirmed? Arjun Sarja’s Martial Arts Thriller Reportedly Heading to Netflix on June 25

Good news for fans who missed Blast in cinemas — the Tamil martial arts thriller starring Arjun Sarja, Preity Mukhundhan, and Abhirami is reportedly heading to OTT very soon. If reports hold up, you won’t have to wait long.

Blast OTT Release — Key Details

When Is Blast Releasing on OTT?

According to industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai, Blast is set to begin streaming on Netflix around June 25, 2026 — less than a month after its theatrical debut on May 28. That’s a remarkably short theatrical window, which speaks to how aggressively streamers are moving on successful South Indian content right now. That said, AGS Entertainment has not made an official announcement yet, so treat this as a strong report, not a confirmed date.

What Is Blast About?

At its heart, Blast is a family story wrapped in high-octane action. Arjun Sarja plays Rajaram, a humble karate teacher who lives a quiet, disciplined life with his wife Neelaveni and daughter Nila. But when the family inadvertently crosses paths with a powerful corporate syndicate, their martial arts skills become the only thing standing between them and danger. What begins as a family drama escalates into a full-blown action thriller about exposing a massive scam.

It’s the kind of crowd-pleasing premise — everyday heroes, real stakes, hand-to-hand combat — that tends to find an even larger audience on streaming than in theaters.

Cast & Crew

The film features John Kokken, Vivek Prasanna, Arjun Chidambaram, Dileepan, and several others in supporting roles. Music legend Ravi Basrur handled the score and background music — a name synonymous with pulse-pounding action after his iconic work on KGF. Cinematography was by Arun Radhakrishnan, with editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.

Netflix has been one of the most aggressive acquirers of Tamil and Telugu content in 2026 — a trend well covered by Wikipedia’s overview of streaming in India.

What’s Next for Preity Mukhundhan?

After Blast, Preity Mukhundhan has a packed calendar. She stars alongside Atharvaa Murali in the coming-of-age romance Idhayam Murali, releasing July 10, 2026, which also features Fahadh Faasil in a key role. She also has Emo Emo Idi and Naagzilla in the pipeline. It’s shaping up to be a breakthrough year for the actress.
