A Quick Recap for Newcomers

Asta and Yuno are two orphans who share one dream: to become the Wizard King. They’re friendly rivals who work hard toward the same goal. Yuno excels at magic, while Asta has an unusual problem in a world full of spellcasters: he has no powers at all. Then they receive their grimoires, and both surprise everyone. Each must find his own path to greatness, with or without magic.

That underdog spirit is why the series became a fan favourite. You can read more about the franchise on the Black Clover Wikipedia page.
