Why This Reunion Is Such a Big Deal

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan together is essentially Bollywood’s horror-comedy formula at its finest. Their earlier collaborations — Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hera Pheri, Garam Masala — remain cult favourites two decades on. After years apart, watching this pairing return feels genuinely exciting, not just nostalgic.

The film boasts a powerhouse ensemble — Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani all in one frame with Akshay is something special. Add Pritam composing the music, and all the ingredients for a proper Bollywood entertainer are in place.

The strategy behind the release rollout is also sharp — launching the teaser digitally on March 12, generating social media chatter, then capitalizing on Dhurandhar 2‘s massive theatrical footfall from March 19 to push the trailer to a captive big-screen audience. It’s a well-thought campaign for a film arriving on April 10, 2026.
