The Reunion Bollywood Has Waited 14 Years For

Bhooth Bangla marks the much-awaited reunion of Bollywood OGs Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years, backed by Balaji Motion Pictures — sparking massive excitement among audiences who grew up on the duo’s iconic comedy entertainers.

Their last collaboration was Khatta Meetha in 2010, and if the teaser is anything to go by, that signature blend of slapstick chaos and big-screen madness is firmly back. Priyadarshan, known for helming some of the most beloved Bollywood comedies of the 2000s including Hera Pheri and Hungama, brings that same infectious energy to this horror-comedy.

The film also stars Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar, among others, and will hit theaters on April 10, 2026. Akshay also recently revealed that Mithila Palkar plays his sister in the film — a fun piece of casting that adds to the chaos.
