Bhooth Bangla Gets New Release Date: Akshay Kumar’s Horror-Comedy Prepones to April 10, 2026

Akshay Kumar fans, rejoice! The much-anticipated horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla has preponed its theatrical release to April 10, 2026, giving audiences an earlier taste of Akshay’s spooky avatar. The strategic date shift positions the film for stronger box office potential.

Bhooth Bangla Release Update

Why the Date Shift?

The 20-day advancement reflects strategic planning to capitalize on:

Clean Release Window: April 10 faces minimal competition, allowing Bhooth Bangla to dominate screens before summer blockbusters arrive.

Extended Run: Early release provides three additional weeks to build momentum before May’s major releases, according to trade analysts at Box Office India.

Festival Advantage: The shift allows the film to benefit from early April’s pre-summer vacation period when family audiences actively seek entertainment.

For context on Akshay Kumar’s 2026 film slate, Bhooth Bangla marks his return to the horror-comedy genre after Laxmii.

The Priyadarshan-Akshay Reunion

This marks the reunion of the legendary Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan duo responsible for comedy classics like:

• Hera Pheri (2000)
• Garam Masala (2005)
• Bhagam Bhag (2006)
• De Dana Dan (2009)

Their chemistry consistently delivered box office gold, making Bhooth Bangla one of 2026’s most anticipated collaborations, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.
