Balakrishna & Koratala Siva’s NBK112 Reportedly Titled ‘Carpenter’ — Anirudh Set to Make His NBK Debut

Tollywood’s most anticipated combination just got its first major update. Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 112th film with director Koratala Siva — a first-time pairing that has had fans buzzing since its announcement — now reportedly has a title, a music director, and a launch date on the horizon. Here’s everything we know.

NBK112 Title: ‘Carpenter’

As per exclusive industry reports, the team is considering the title Carpenter for the film. The movie is expected to be a mass action drama with fully loaded commercial elements, and a title like Carpenter is believed to appeal to pan-Indian audiences with strong recall value, while suiting Balakrishna’s larger-than-life image. Yuvasudha Arts has already registered the title, which indirectly hints that it is almost confirmed. Nothing is official yet, but in Tollywood, title registration by the production house is as strong a signal as it gets. Gulte

Anirudh Ravichander — A Historic First

The music director buzz is just as exciting as the title. Anirudh Ravichander is reported to be the music director of the film, which would mark the first time he scores music for a Balakrishna film. Given Anirudh’s recent track record with blockbuster background scores — most recently on Koratala Siva’s own Devara — the combination has fans dreaming of a massive audio launch. Gulte

A video announcement is also expected to be released on NBK’s birthday, with Anirudh’s signature music style, similar to what has been seen in Rajinikanth’s announcements. Gulte

That said, some industry insiders suggest the music composer decision is still fluid, with S. Thaman and Devi Sri Prasad also in contention — so this one remains watch-this-space territory.

A Dream Combination for Tollywood

This project marks a significant moment in Telugu cinema as it brings together Balakrishna, known for his larger-than-life screen presence, and Koratala Siva, celebrated for delivering impactful films like Janatha Garage and Devara. Social News XYZ

Vidya Balan is also said to be in talks to feature in the film as the leading lady — a reunion of sorts, as the two previously appeared together in the NTR biopic as husband and wife. Republic World
