Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender Twitter Review — Fans Are Losing It Over This Animated Sequel

Eric Nam’s animated fantasy film Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender premiered on Paramount+ on July 25, 2026, and Twitter (X) hasn’t stopped talking about it. Set 13 years after the Hundred-Year War, the story follows Aang as he chases the truth behind a mysterious relic tied to the forgotten Avatar Sonam — while reuniting with Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Fire Lord Zuko. It’s a continuation of the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.

What Are Fans Saying?

Reactions have been overwhelmingly warm. One viewer called it possibly the best-looking animated film they’ve ever seen, praising the voice acting and score. Another fell for Kallik despite limited screen time, hoping for more in a sequel. A third simply couldn’t understand the online criticism, saying they loved every minute. Several fans also wished Paramount had stuck to its original theatrical release plan, given how stunning the visuals look on the big screen.

Why It’s Striking a Chord

Beyond nostalgia, the film taps into Aang’s emotional arc — confronting his greatest regret while trying to rebuild the Air Nomads. That blend of heart and spectacle is exactly why the visuals and voice work keep coming up in nearly every tweet.
