Three trophies in, and the momentum is still building. On October 10, i-dle’s Soyeon claimed her third music show win for “I’m gonna TOESA,” and she did it against two of the biggest names on the chart.

The Winner Showdown

On MBC’s Music Core, the candidates for first place were BOYNEXTDOOR’s “ANIMAL,” Soyeon’s “I’m gonna TOESA” and IU’s “Unknown Planet.” Soyeon edged ahead with a total of 6,670 points, earning her third music show trophy for the song.

Why This Win Matters?

Beating IU and BOYNEXTDOOR in the same lineup says a lot about the song’s staying power. Winning three times shows that “I’m gonna TOESA” isn’t a one-week wonder, and a solo run this strong strengthens Soyeon’s case as one of K-pop’s most distinctive artists. Her group, i-dle, has long been known for self-produced music, and this win adds another notch to that reputation.
