Apple’s upcoming ARM-based MacBook starts at $799

Apple company has made news all over the internet for a few days. Most of it is related to the company planning to unveil its ARM-based Mac devices. The devices to be disclosed include the new 13-inch MacBook Pro and 13-inch MacBook Air.

Both the devices will have ARM-based custom silicon home-made by the company.  With all the rumors going across the internet, the company’s upcoming devices’ excitation is on the rise. On the latest news, a tipster has allegedly leaked the forthcoming Mac devices’ starting prices, and the details are juicy.

The MacBook’s will start for $799, which is relatively cheap compared to the $1,000 price tag of premium Windows notebooks.

Apple Silicon for next-gen Macs announced at WWDC 2020

Apple’s new ARM-based silicon is already termed as power efficient and does not require any sophisticated cooling system to increase its performance. However, getting a high-performing notebook from Apple at just $799 is a mood for the holiday season.

According to sources, Apple is trying to make the ARM-based 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro cheaper than their counterparts. The company is trying to attract more customers towards its home-made silicon.

We already know that the upcoming 5nm process based A14X Bionic will power the future iPad Pro models. The processor will be an 8-core Apple Silicon. Sources claim that the chipset powering the upcoming ARM-based MacBook’s will have the same number of cores as the A14X Bionic. It means that the performance of the forthcoming MacBook’s will be a sight to behold.

The A14X Bionic performance is on par with Intel’s 8-Core i9 CPU, termed the most powerful chip found in its MacBook lineup. There are also reports that Apple will provide a 12-core Apple Silicon with is 13-inch MacBook Pro, though it will probably cost you more.

With Apple stepping up its game in the processor market, it is clear that the iPhone maker has decided to ditch intel processors for good. The company has already established its dominance in the smartphone processor market. As to whether it will succeed in the notebook market remains to be seen.
