Apple Just Made Your Music Bill Heavier — Here’s the New Price List

If your Apple subscriptions felt a little pricier this week, you weren’t imagining it. Days after hiking AppleCare+ costs for Mac and iPad, Apple has quietly raised prices for Apple Music and Apple One across India, the US, the UK, and parts of Europe. The company points to rising music licensing costs as the reason — and no new features have been added to soften the blow.

What You’re Actually Paying For

The Individual Apple Music plan still gets you ad-free access to over 100 million songs, offline downloads, Spatial and Lossless Audio, expert-curated playlists, and Apple Music Classical. The Family tier extends all of that to up to six people via Family Sharing, while the Student plan remains the cheapest way in — and now bundles Apple TV+ at no extra cost.

Apple One, meanwhile, bundles Music, TV+, Arcade, iCloud+, Fitness+, and News+ (availability varies by region) into one subscription, and its three tiers all just got costlier.

It’s worth noting Apple isn’t alone here — Spotify also raised its Individual and Family plan prices in several markets earlier this year, signalling a broader trend across streaming services.
