Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 Series will be launching soon, the 2022 iPhone lineup includes the vanilla version of the iPhone 14, the 14 Max, the 14 Pro, and the 14 Pro Max. Before the official announcement, a hands-on impression of the iPhone 14 Pro Series surfaced.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max feature no upgrades in terms of display:

Apple iPhone 14 Pro may not see rise in base storage, despite price hike

The leak arrives courtesy of LeaksApplePro who has been accurate on numerous occasions when it comes to Apple’s products. As per the tipster, a source close to the matter got their hands on a working unit of the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. After this, the person reviewed the devices and shared his personal thoughts about the smartphones.

The new pill-shaped cutout on the front is similar to the large notch that it replaced in terms of functionality. He goes on to add that it will take users time to adapt to this but after a while, you will hardly notice the different design. Speaking of the display, there are no quality improvements over their predecessors, this is surprising as rumors had claimed that the upcoming generation of iPhones had Samsung’s M12 Generation OLED technology.

The tipster claimed that the 14 Pro Max feels like a brick in one’s hand, not the most glowing first impression for a smartphone of that caliber.

In the optics department, the Cupertino giant has integrated a 12MP primary sensor on the rear but the upcoming lineup will arrive with a 48MP resolution. The issue some users may have is that a higher resolution equates to smaller pixels and the hands-on impressions confirm this as well.

The source praised the 48MP sensor, however, only in environments where the lighting is ideal. This is not a confirmed report so take it with a grain of salt and we do not need to wait that long either as the next-generation flagship devices from Apple are on their way!
