Anaganaga Oka Raju Storms Past ₹75 Crore: Naveen Polishetty’s Comedy Hit Holds Strong in Week 2

Naveen Polishetty‘s action-comedy entertainer Anaganaga Oka Raju has achieved a significant milestone, crossing the ₹75 crore mark worldwide in just 13 days. Directed by Maari, the Telugu film showcased exceptional staying power in its second weekend, proving that quality content still triumphs at the box office.

Anaganaga Oka Raju Box Office: Quick Summary

Day-by-Day Performance: Consistent Numbers

The film opened with a solid ₹6.75 crore and peaked on Day 2 with ₹8.50 crore, maintaining momentum throughout its first week. According to the report, the movie grossed ₹46.50 crore in its extended 9-day opening week.

The second weekend brought in an impressive ₹8.50 crore (Friday-Sunday), with Republic Day adding another ₹2.25 crore to push the total India gross to ₹55 crore. The film’s strong hold—particularly in its home territories—demonstrates the audience connect Naveen Polishetty has built.

Territory-Wise Breakdown: AP/TS Dominates

Andhra Pradesh emerged as the biggest contributor with ₹25.50 crore, followed by Nizam’s ₹19.50 crore. Karnataka showed decent support with ₹4.75 crore, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala collectively added ₹50 lakh.

Overseas Performance: Strong US Numbers

The overseas market contributed USD 2.27 million to the total, with the United States leading at USD 1.725 million. The rest of the world markets added USD 550K, showcasing Naveen Polishetty’s growing international appeal.

Reality Check: Inflated Claims vs. Actual Numbers

While the film has performed admirably, the production house’s claim of ₹100 crore worldwide after opening weekend is significantly inflated. The actual worldwide total after 13 days stands at ₹75.75 crore—a respectable figure that doesn’t need exaggeration. This discrepancy highlights the ongoing issue of inflated box office claims in the South Indian film industry.

What’s Next for Anaganaga Oka Raju?

With solid word-of-mouth and strong weekday holds, Anaganaga Oka Raju is positioned to cross ₹85-90 crore worldwide by the end of its theatrical run. The film’s success reinforces Naveen Polishetty’s status as a bankable star in Telugu cinema.
