Following the recent crypto market crash, GPU prices of both AMD and Nvidia have continued to decrease. Last week, there were allegations that graphics cards were fast falling in price in the United States, with certain models available at or below MSRP. According to 3DCenter’s newest GPU pricing analysis, board prices are also falling in Europe.

According to 3DCenter, AMD’s offers are cheaper than ever, with an average card selling for 8% less than MSRP in Germany and Austria. In contrast, despite the price drop, the typical Nvidia GPU is still selling for 2% more than the MSRP.

AMD seems to be the most affordable option right now

The most affordable Nvidia cards, such as the RTX 3060, RTX 3060 Ti, and RTX 3050, have seen the largest price increases. The RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti, according to 3DCenter’s study, have an 11 percent and 17 percent markup, respectively. The RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT from Team Red, on the other hand, are retailing for 20% and 7% less than MSRP, respectively.

According to 3DCenter, retailers may pass on the expense of negative US$/EUR conversion rates to customers, reducing GPU price drops. However, given to extremely low Ethereum profitability and the potential of miners dumping their hardware on the used market, the magazine feels there is still room for more price declines.
