She Heard the Script and Said ‘Yes’ Immediately — Alfia Jafry in ‘The Pyramid Scheme’ Is About to Change Everything

Some roles find you. For Alfia Jafry, The Pyramid Scheme was exactly that — and her excitement about it is absolutely infectious. Making her OTT debut with Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series, Alfia opened up exclusively: “Debuting with The Pyramid Scheme feels surreal. It’s a project that instantly connected with me, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it the moment I heard the script.” Esports That kind of instinct rarely lies.

📋 The Pyramid Scheme — All the Key Details

What Is The Pyramid Scheme About?

The series revolves around Goldy — an ambitious young man whose relentless pursuit of quick wealth through a pyramid marketing venture spirals into chaos, ultimately putting his most important relationships and his entire future at risk.

It’s a story that could be ripped straight from your social media feed — the get-rich-quick culture, the MLM traps, the promises of passive income that sound too good to be true. But beneath the comedy lies something genuinely sobering: the very real consequences of chasing shortcuts in a world that rewards patience. TVF — the studio behind Panchayat, Pitchers, and Kota Factory — brings its trademark blend of sharp writing and deeply human storytelling to a subject that Indian OTT has never quite explored with this kind of focus before.

What Alfia Says About the Role?

“This role pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible. It made me explore new layers as an actor, and that’s something I will always cherish.”

For a debut, that’s exactly the right kind of discomfort. She also described working alongside veterans Ranvir Shorey and Shekhar Suman as a defining early career experience: “Sharing screen space with actors like Ranvir sir and Shekhar sir has been an incredible learning experience. Their craft, discipline, and energy on set are truly inspiring. I feel grateful to have started my journey with such amazing co-actors.”

Paramvir Cheema — known for his breakout turn in Jubilee and Call Me Bae — leads the series as Goldy, bringing the same grounded charm that has quickly made him one of the most exciting young faces in Indian OTT. Paired with Ranvir Shorey’s unpredictable energy and Shekhar Suman’s effortless wit, the ensemble dynamic promises to be one of the show’s biggest strengths.

Alfia added: “I can’t wait for people to watch the show. I hope they connect with my character and the story as much as I did while shooting it.” That genuine warmth — rare in debut interviews — makes her someone to watch.
