What Is the Drama About?
Lee Ga Kyeong (Kim You Jung) is a pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement. She infiltrates the Japanese Government-General of Korea, where she gets entangled with interpreter Kim Tae Woong, also known as Sato Hideo (Park Jinyoung). He is the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea, the second-highest-ranking official in the administration.

What the New Stills Show?
The new stills set a very different mood from the show’s suspicion-heavy scenes.
A spark at the studio.
In a photo studio in Jongno, an inexplicable excitement blossoms between the two. Sato Hideo’s gaze is drawn to Lee Ga Kyeong’s smile as she sits in front of the camera.
The curtain scene.
The most eye-catching still shows the pair facing each other beneath the black backdrop curtain behind the camera. Their changed dynamic reflects a newfound closeness and hints at the beginnings of a new romance.
What Led Here?
From their first encounter at Gyeongseong Station to their reunion as a trainee interpreter and an interpreter at the Government-General, the two have stayed tangled in a web of suspicion and wariness. That’s why seeing them this close, in a quiet and almost tender moment, is so striking.
Episode 5 Spoilers
The calm doesn’t last. Fukuda (Kim Joong Hee), the chief of the Japanese Government-General of Police Bureau, orders Lee Ga Kyeong to interpret an interrogation of an arrested independence fighter. The assignment throws her into turmoil. Sato Hideo watches from the sidelines and grows increasingly concerned about her.
It’s a high-stakes test of her struggle to survive as a secret agent.
Why It’s Worth Watching?
- A layered romance. Two people on opposite sides of a conflict, drawn together despite wariness.
- Real tension. One slip could expose a spy in the heart of the administration.
- A strong pairing. The leads’ chemistry is already winning attention.
