“A Bona Fide Killer”: Kong Hyo Jin Returns as a Deadly Sniper Balancing Motherhood

New stills reveal Sung Dong Il and Lee Sang Yi joining the action-packed MBC drama ahead of its premiere. MBC’s upcoming action drama “A Bona Fide Killer“ has dropped fresh stills, and fans are already hooked on its unique premise — a working mom secretly living a double life as a legendary assassin.

The Story So Far

The drama follows Kong Hyo Jin as Yu Bo Na, the seemingly ordinary manager of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics, who is secretly the legendary sniper known as “Kingfisher.” One still shows her professional-killer charisma during an intense training workout, while another captures her excitement on her first day back at work. A third glimpse shows her impressive knife skills while prepping cabbage at her mother-in-law’s shop, hinting at the sharp instincts hiding behind her daily domestic life.

Sung Dong Il plays Kim Bong Pal, her team leader who welcomes her back with enthusiasm before proposing a brutal “client meeting.” Meanwhile, a shooting incident in Seoul rattles Kwon Tae Sung, played by Jung Jun Won, a former reporter who once covered Kingfisher before mysteriously stopping. Lee Sang Yi’s character, detective Lee Dong Jin, discovers a bullet at the crime scene and begins investigating Kingfisher’s return, driven by past helplessness tied to the case.

The production team shared that Yu Bo Na juggles her double life as a killer and her roles as wife and mother, urging viewers to watch her balancing act unfold from her first day back at work.
