Fortnite’s Galactic Battle Ends with Death Star Event; Chapter 6 Season 4 Superhero Theme and iOS Return

Death Star Sabotage Live Event – June 7

The Galactic Battle season’s finale, “Death Star Sabotage,” takes place on June 7 at 11 AM PT. Players align with the Rebels on a dangerous mission to dismantle the Death Star belonging to Emperor Palpatine. The event includes live, space-combat action flown with pilotable X-Wings and TIE Fighters, as well as cinematic story missions and rewards available only to those who join in.

Players are advised to log in 30 minutes early to secure their place, as the mode appears two hours prior. In addition to the new skin, a dark-side version of Rey from “Star Wars” will be the last unlockable skin for the season.

Chapter 6 Season 4 Launch – June 7

Chapter 6 Season 3 concludes later on June 7 at 7 PM PT, and Season 4 kicks off. Although the full theme hasn’t been officially revealed, leaks suggest a superhero focus, featuring a DC Comics crossover with a refreshed Superman skin and villain quests. The new season previews mythic superpowers, and an overhauled map with new locations like “Metropolis” or “Fort Fortress.” Enhancements to the legacy powers system may introduce new movement abilities such as grappling wings or hero boosts.

Dance With Sabrina Rhythm Mode (May 30 – June 16)

Fortnite keeps mashing up music and gameplay with a temporary rhythm mode featuring pop singer Sabrina Carpenter. Players can assume roles like Dance Leader and Special Effects Pro and dance along to tracks such as Carpenter’s most recent album. Top players receive special recognition besides Sabrina’s in-game avatar.

June Crew Pack – Ayla Winn

June’s Crew Pack brings Ayla Winn, an arcade-inspired look from the future that comes with the Bubblte Pop Axe Pickaxe, Winn-Streak Back Bling, and 1,000 V-Bucks. It also gives subscribers access to Battle Passes and Festival Passes, making the subscription more appealing to regular players.

Fortnite Returns to iOS in the U.S.

After nearly five years off Apple devices due to legal disputes, Fortnite returned to the iOS App Store in the U.S. on May 20, 2025. This marks a major comeback for Fortnite in mobile, and it should get far more players into the game and far more mobile play time.

With its evolving gameplay, music collaborations, and story-driven events, Fortnite remains a dynamic experience. The upcoming season and events show that 2025 will be an exciting year for fans.
