The Realme GT 7 aims to go up against the likes of the Redmi K80 Ultra and iQOO Neo 10S Pro – devices likely to debut with Dimensity 9400+ under the hood. Meanwhile, the GT 8 Pro will compete against flagship devices like the Redmi K90 Pro, iQOO 15 series, and OnePlus 14, which are expected to be announced in China towards the end of the year.
As detailed by tipster Digital Chat Station, the GT 7 will sport a flat display and become the world’s first phone to implement the combination of a 7,000mAh+ single-cell battery with 100W fast charging.
It should also be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-based GT 6, which arrived in July 2024 at 8.4mm thick and 207g. The GT 7 could also be the first device to hit the market with the Dimensity 9400+, which will be unveiled in April and which likely hints at an April launch for the new phone. Anyway, leaker Smart Pikachu says that Realme is working on a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-equipped flagship device, likely to be the GT 8 Pro.
This device is rumored to feature a flat OLED display with 2K resolution and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, improving on the GT 7 Pro’s micro-quad-curved 1.5K display. It is also expected to house a battery exceeding 7,000 mAh and retain the periscope telephoto camera from its predecessor. Realme is also planning to launch the GT 7 in India, with the Indian variant (model RMX5060) expected to be a rebranded version of the Dimensity 9300+-powered Realme Neo 7, which debuted in China in February.
