Nvidia invites all for its GeForce RTX event on January 12

We have seen many leaks and rumours on the internet regarding the launch date of the GeForce RTX 3070, the RTX 3080, and the RTX 3090. But hardly any of the so-called revelations came true or will come true. But recently, the green team itself announced a major new GeForce RTX event scheduled for January 2021.

As the invite suggests, the event starts at 09:00 PST (UTC+08:00) on January 12. NVIDIA plans to live stream the event on multiple platforms, including YouTube and Twitch. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal any details about the event nor what could be announced next month. But we know that it has hinted at the release of its RTX 3060, which will supposedly come in two 6 GB and 12 GB of VRAM flavours.

RTX 3060 will include the company’s new GA106 GPU, which is also thought to be making its way into laptops. Some even suggest that Nvidia might be launching some entirely new GPUs. As we already know that RTX 3050 and RTX 3070 Ti are already in development by the green team. So it won’t be a surprise to see these two making an appearance.

Rumours also suggest that RTX 3080 Ti, which is also supposedly in development, might make an appearance out of nowhere during the event. But sources have confirmed that the RTX 3080 Ti will not be making an appearance in January. Instead, it will show its head in February. That should put an end to these rumours once and for all, just kidding. We still know only the tip of the iceberg, and the titanic can sink at any time.

Nvidia’s RTX 30 series GPUs will be featured in laptops in early Q2 2021, but we suspect NVIDIA to showcase them at the January 12 event. Well, for now, all this information is just rumours, leaks, and our nonsense. As to what Nvidia is planning, let’s find out together on January 12. Till then, peace out.
