OPPO Find X8 Ultra Launching in April 2025 With Flat Display

The launch month for the OPPO Find X8 Ultra has been confirmed by OPPO’s Find Series Product Manager, Zhou Yibao. Chinese smartphone manufacturer Yibao took to Weibo to squash rumors of a delay and confirm that the smartphone will arrive on schedule in April. He added that it would also be available for sale in China at that point.

He also mentioned in the same post that OPPO is also working on an “ultra-thin small-screen flagship Find” smartphone, likely the OPPO Find X8 mini we had heard about earlier. Besides these smartphones, OPPO would launch “long-awaited IoT products as well”. The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is said to remain a China-exclusive device according to a tipster for a global launch. Now, while this source isn’t the most trustworthy out there, it is interesting to point out that the OPPO Find X7 Ultra never had the opportunity to launch globally, either.

Considering the fact that OPPO has already launched its Find X8 and Find X8 Pro for the global market, the Ultra variant may likely not see an international launch. Unlike its predecessor, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra will feature a quad micro-curved design with the glass on all four edges slightly curved, abandoning its previous curved display. On the inside, the phone is tipped to come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It is also believed to feature a telemacro camera that acts as its periscope telephoto lens.

The primary camera is said to be a 1-inch type sensor, likely the Sony LYT-900, accompanied by a secondary periscope telephoto camera and an ultrawide lens. Additionally, a spectral imaging sensor is rumored to be part of the setup. With a strong focus on photography, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra aims to be the company’s most advanced camera smartphone, continuing the legacy of its predecessor.
