Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has secured the services of Achraf Hakimi on a new long-term deal, extending his stay at the club until June 2029.

The Moroccan international, a pivotal figure for the Ligue 1 champions, has put pen to paper on a contract that highlights his importance to the team’s ambitious project.

This move, finalized with the efforts of sporting advisor Luis Campos, has been in motion since August, with all details and salary terms carefully orchestrated. The official announcement is expected imminently, marking a significant moment for the club and the player.

Achraf Hakimi has proven to be a cornerstone of PSG’s defense since his arrival in 2021. Over the past four seasons, the dynamic right-back has established himself as one of the finest in world football. His current campaign showcases his reliability, with 13 appearances yielding two goals and three assists, underlining his offensive contributions alongside his defensive solidity.

PSG’s decision to secure his future until 2029 stems from their satisfaction with his consistent performances. Coach Luis Enrique recently lauded Hakimi, stating: “On a professional level, he’s still at the very high level I found when I arrived here. I think he fits perfectly with our system.”

Such endorsements reflect the club’s faith in the 26-year-old, who remains integral to their tactical framework.

Ending Speculation: Commitment Over Transfers

For weeks, rumors swirled about Hakimi’s potential departure, with whispers of a return to Inter Milan or a move to Barcelona. French outlet L’Équipe recently reported that Hakimi chose to commit his future to PSG, putting an end to the speculation surrounding his next move.

Hakimi’s decision not only stabilizes PSG’s backline but also signals his belief in the club’s vision. His renewed contract replaces his previous deal, which was set to expire in 2026. This extension ensures his presence at the Parc des Princes for the foreseeable future, reinforcing PSG’s defensive depth heading into future campaigns.
