Last month, Google has introduced a new photo editor on Android. It comes with AI suggestions and so many different functions by which you can edit your photos in different ways. Features like color enhancing and color pop are there as well. Now a report has just come out that in the next update, Google will introduce a new color pop feature that users can use to make changes in their photos. But it is a paid feature. That means, if you want to access this feature, then you have to buy Google One subscription. Another news is telling that Google is looking to introduce more of such paid features in future updates.
As per Google, this color pop feature is available for free for photos with depth information. But if you want to use this feature on any other images, you will have to buy the Google One membership. Now it is locked behind a Google One paywall.
“In Google Photos, color pop is a feature that continues to be available for anyone to use, at no cost, for photos with depth information. As part of an ongoing rollout that began earlier this year, Google One members can apply the feature to even more photos of people, including those without depth information,” a Google spokesperson says.
As mentioned earlier, apart from this new color pop feature addition, Google is further looking to add more features in the future updates of Google photos. But those features will not be free for all. There are some hints of prompts as per the reports: “As a Google One member, you get access to extra editing features,” “Get extra editing features with a Google One membership,” and much more. So, now we have to wait a little more to get some clarity about those upcoming premium features from Google.
