Eric Dier has been strongly linked with a transfer to Bayern Munich in the January transfer window, with the Bavarians in need of reinforcements in defensive positions.
With the arrival of Micky van de Ven and the importance of Christian Romero, Dier has fallen down the pecking order. And after a recent press conference, it seems clear that Ange Postecoglou is comfortable with the veteran leaving in the January window.
Eric Dier linked with Bayern Munich transfer as Spurs look for reinforcements
As per Florian Plettenberg, the German giants have a total agreement with the defender, and it depends on the two clubs to finalise a deal so that the transfer can go through. The contract agreed is a relatively short one, until 2025. And the transfer fee being discussed is under €5 million.
Thomas Tuchel has spoken personally to the player, but has denied his arrival while speaking to the press. And it seems likely that Eric Dier will be reuniting with Harry Kane in Bavaria within the coming weeks.
To replace the long-time defender, Spurs are in talks with Radu Dragusin of Genoa. After wrapping up a loan deal for Timo Werner of RB Leipzig, the centre-back is the main priority for the Lilywhites. Napoli are also in the race to sign Dragusin, and it will be interesting to see whether the Premier League club is able to convince him to move out of Italy within the coming weeks.
