Realme GT 5 Pro Set to Launch on December 7 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

The official launch date for the Realme GT 5 Pro has been officially announced. This phone is anticipated to be the latest addition to the Realme GT 5 series, with the initial model having been released in August of this year and featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The upcoming Pro model is expected to boast enhanced specifications compared to the base model. Realme has already provided glimpses of various details and confirmed key specifications for the Realme GT 5 Pro.

Realme revealed on Weibo that the launch event for the Realme GT 5 Pro is scheduled for December 7 at 2 pm local time in China (11:30 am IST). The teaser image shared in the post showcases a sizable circular camera module, but no additional information about the phone’s design or features is disclosed. In another post, Realme disclosed that the Realme GT 5 Pro will come equipped with an OV64B periscope telephoto sensor, referring to it as the “telephoto king.”

The company had previously announced that the Realme GT 5 Pro would be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Additionally, the phone will offer up to 1TB of built-in storage and feature a BOE panel with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Notably, the handset will include a 50-megapixel 1/1.56 Sony IMX890 sensor with both optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) support.

Earlier reports suggest that the Realme GT 5 Pro will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,264 x 2,780 pixels and showcase a triple rear camera setup. The front camera is expected to house a 32-megapixel sensor. The phone is rumored to be equipped with a 5,400mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.

The base model, Realme GT 5, was released with variants featuring 150W and 240W wired fast charging, with the former having a 5,240mAh battery and the latter containing a 4,600mAh cell. The phone is available in Flowing Silver Illusion Mirror and Starry Oasis color options.
