Realme introduced the standard Realme GT 5 smartphone in China in August 2023. Initially, there were hints that it might launch as the GT Neo 6. The company had previously teased the global release of this device through its Global X (formerly Twitter) account. Now, this account has begun teasing the imminent launch of the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone.
The Upcoming Realme GT 5 Pro Rumored Specs
The teaser strongly suggests that the device will soon be available in global markets. Realme had previously confirmed its plan to launch the smartphone by the end of 2023. Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has also provided comprehensive specifications for the upcoming Realme GT 5 Pro.
The teaser from Realme’s Global X account confirms that the upcoming device will feature a periscope lens. The caption accompanying the teaser reads, “Not only max can zoom,” taking a playful jab at the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which happens to be Apple’s first smartphone with a periscope lens.
Realme shared the teaser with the text, “The light will shine on Realme, just wait,” suggesting that the device’s launch is imminent. It’s possible that the company may debut the smartphone shortly after the launch of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC at the Qualcomm Tech Summit event. Digital Chat Station also hinted that Realme is planning another mid-range device with a periscope lens, but no further details were provided about this mid-range smartphone.
The upcoming GT 5 Pro smartphone is expected to share specifications with the upcoming OnePlus 12 5G smartphone. MySmartPrice has already revealed renders and specifications for the upcoming OnePlus 12 5G flagship smartphone.
Realme is set to equip the device with a curved OLED panel boasting a 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and PWM DC dimming. In the Chinese variant, it’s anticipated to launch in configurations with 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The device will also feature one of the largest vapor chamber surface areas in its class.
The Realme GT 5 Pro has a triple rear camera setup, including a primary Sony IMX 9xx series sensor, a 64MP OV64B periscope sensor with 3X optical zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Realme plans to equip the smartphone with a 5400mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging technology.
Additionally, the smartphone will come with an X-axis motor for improved haptic feedback and will have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It will run on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out of the box and feature a metal frame. However, specific details about other specifications remain undisclosed at this time.
