Jio, a prominent telecom service provider, has introduced the JioBook 2023 edition in India, targeting entry-level users seeking a budget-friendly laptop for learning and basic multitasking purposes. Before its official launch, the laptop was teased on Amazon India, providing a glimpse of its specifications. Now that it has finally launched, we have all the essential details about the new JioBook’s budget-friendly features.
The All New JioBook
The JioBook 2023 comes with an 11.6-inch HD anti-glare panel, offering a resolution of 1366×768. Despite its impressive features, the laptop is remarkably lightweight, weighing just 990g. To enhance the multimedia experience, it comes equipped with stereo speakers, and its lid displays the ‘Jio’ branding. Jio has marketed the laptop as the “ultimate learning partner” and boasts a fan-less chassis due to its thin and lightweight design.
In terms of performance, the laptop is powered by a 12nm MediaTek MT8788 chip. It is accompanied by 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using an SD card. The JioBook 2023 runs on JioOS and is backed by a 4000mAh battery, offering up to eight hours of battery life. In terms of connectivity, it provides 4G, Dual Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and one mini-HDMI port.
For video conferencing and online communication, the laptop is equipped with a 2MP webcam. Jio also offers some extra perks, including 100GB of cloud storage for one year with Digiboxx and one year of Quick Heal Antivirus protection. The laptop is accompanied by a standard one-year warranty.
The JioBook 2023 starts at a competitive price of ₹16,499. The first sale of the laptop will commence on August 5, available on Amazon and Reliance Digital. Amazon is offering an attractive discount of up to ₹1,250, and pre-orders for the JioBook are currently open.
