After a triumphant 2022/23 season, Mohun Bagan has made a significant change by dropping the prefix “ATK” which symbolized their merger with the former ISL champions. Mohun Bagan has now unveiled their latest signing, Albanian star Armando Sadiku. He was playing in the Spanish second-division side FC Cartagena before joining ISL champions Mohun Bagan.

Who is Armando Sadiku?
Armando Durim Sadiku, born on May 27, 1991, is a professional footballer from Albania. Sadiku began his senior career in the second tier of Albanian football with Turbina before moving to Gramozi in the top-flight division, where he made a significant impact by scoring eight goals. He later joined Elbasani but was subsequently banned from Albanian football for non-sporting behaviour, leading him to move abroad to Switzerland.
Sadiku found success in Switzerland, becoming a prolific goalscorer in the second tier and winning the top goalscorer award. He had stints with Lugano and Zürich, but injuries and limited playing time affected his performances. Sadiku was loaned to Vaduz, where he helped the club retain their top-flight status and relegated his parent club. He also had a loan spell at FC Lugano, rejoining his former coach Paolo Tramezzani.
