Asus has recently teased the upcoming launch of the ROG Ally gaming console in India, following its global debut one month earlier. The brand has officially confirmed the console’s release in India through a tweet, highlighting uninterrupted gaming as a key feature. A Flipkart listing has now provided the expected date of availability for the Asus ROG Ally.
Availability of Asus ROG Ally
Although Asus has not yet made an official announcement regarding the sale date, a microsite on Flipkart indicates that the Asus ROG Ally will be released for purchase in India on July 7, 2023. Reports suggest that the entry-level Ryzen Z1 variant of the handheld console may be priced at ₹71,999, while the high-end Ryzen Z1 Extreme model could cost ₹79,999. In comparison, the global market prices for the Asus ROG Ally are $599 (approximately ₹49,200) for the Ryzen Z1 version and $699 (approximately ₹57,400) for the Ryzen Z1 Extreme variant.
Features of Asus ROG Ally
The Asus ROG Ally boasts a 7-inch IPS screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display offers a peak brightness of 500 nits, a 7ms response time, FreeSync Premium, and Dolby Vision support. The display is shielded by the durable Gorilla Glass Victus.
The high-end variant of the gaming console is powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, accompanied by 16GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. On the other hand, the lower-end model features a Ryzen Z1 processor. The operating system utilized by ROG Ally is Windows 11.
The Asus ROG Ally incorporates a 40Wh battery with support for 65W charging. Connectivity options for the console include Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a ROG XG Mobile Interface. Moreover, the ROG Ally is equipped with Hi-Res Audio, and stereo speakers, and is compatible with Dolby Atmos. To enhance performance, the console features a dual-fan design with fluid bearings and a heat pipe.
