Why the ASUS ROG Strix G16 Matters Here

Entry-level gaming GPUs usually feel like an afterthought bolted onto a laptop chassis. Not this time. The RTX 5050 brings NVIDIA’s newer architecture down to a genuinely reachable price point, meaning ray tracing and AI-enhanced upscaling aren’t locked behind ultra-premium laptops anymore.

Paired with the 165Hz display, that translates to noticeably smoother motion in competitive titles, while the Ryzen 9 8940HX’s 16 cores keep background tasks — streaming, Discord, browser tabs — from choking your frame rate mid-match.
