MediaTek‘s new processor, the Dimensity 7050 is equipped with several advanced features. The new processor comes with an octa-core CPU, including Arm Cortex-A78 at 2.6GHz and Arm Cortex-A55 at 2.0GHz. This processor supports 64-bit CPU bits and heterogeneous multi-processing.

The Dimensity 7050 processor also includes LPDDR5 and LPDDR4x memory types and UFS 3.1 and UFS 2.1 storage types. The new processor supports cellular technologies, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G multi-mode, 4G carrier aggregation, 5G carrier aggregation, EDGE, 4G FDD/TDD, 5G FDD/TDD, GSM, TD-SCDMA, and WDCDMA.
One of the significant features of the Dimensity 7050 is the 5G capabilities, which includes SA & NSA modes, SA Option2, NSA Option3 / 3a / 3x, NR TDD Band, NR FDD Band, DSS, NR DL 2CC, 120 MHz bandwidth, 256QAM NR UL 2CC, 256QAM VoNR / EPS fallback. It also comes with GNSS GPS L1CA+L5, BeiDou B1I+ B2a, Glonass L1OF, Galileo E1 + E5a, QZSS L1CA+ L5, and NavIC.
The new processor also includes Wi-Fi 6 (a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Bluetooth version 5.2, and a 2T2R Wi-Fi antenna. The processor is compatible with displays with a maximum resolution of 2520 x 1080 and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
The MediaTek APU 3.0 AI accelerator is used to process AI-related tasks. The Arm Mali-G68 MC4 GPU is used for graphics, and video encoding includes HEVC and H.264 with a maximum video encoding FPS of 4K at 30FPS. The video playback feature supports HEVC, H.264, MPEG-1/2/4, and VP-9 formats with a maximum video playback FPS of 4K at 30FPS.
The Dimensity 7050 processor is also capable of supporting cameras with a maximum ISP of 200MP. Camera features include hardware HDR video, 3X HDR-ISP, MFNR, 3DNR, AINR, hardware depth engine, and warping engine.
