The name of the online music streaming platform Spotify is coming to the news frequently over the past few months. Lastly, it comes for the compatibility to the Amazon Echo devices in India a few days back and today for launching the Real-time lyrics support in 26 different countries including India.
To make this job done, Spotify partnered with Musixmatch that is an Italian music data company that keeps song lyrics with the translations. The music streaming platform was teasing about the partnership for this feature from November last year. After being available, users will able to access the realtime lyrics in the song’s language by tapping on the ‘Lyrics’ button. You will find this button on the now playing screen.
Along with India, this feature is rolling out in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, El Salvador, Uruguay, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. You need to know, users of Spotify from Japan already has this feature in their hand.
The rolling out protocol was scheduled at 10.00 am EST i.e. 7.30 pm IST. But still, I didn’t receive any update of the app (for Android version). I hope, it will reach within tomorrow morning.
So, as a conclusion, Spotify is now joining with Prime Music and Apple Music, those are providing the real-time lyrics.
