AMD’s Renoir mobile APUs are totally devastating Intel’s gaming laptop market, with its price and performance, OEMs are considering AMD for their gaming laptops. Recently, a Dell laptop was spotted on 3DMark Time Spy benchmark by the tipster @_rogame.
The name of the system is not revealed but it can be the new Dell G5 15 SE gaming laptop which does feature AMD Ryzen 9 4900H APU and Radeon RX 5600M graphics as seen in this benchmark. The 8-core monster features a boost clock speed of 4.4 GHz and it scored a healthy 8,388 points in Time Spy’s CPU test.
But this score is significantly lower than what we’ve seen with a Ryzen 7 4800H or a Core i9-10980HK which is really surprising. But this might be a production sample or unless this kind of performance is not expected. The laptop also features AMD’s new Radeon RX 5600M graphics based on 7nm Navi architecture.
Comparing the GPU scores which is 6098 points and is better than both the NVIDIA RTX 2060 Max-Q and the NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti graphics. So, if the laptop is cooled and optimized properly, the Ryzen 9 4900H & Radeon RX 5600M graphics can be a devastating combo for both productivity and gaming.
