Konrad Laimer is starting to attract interest from several top clubs in Europe ahead of the summer transfer window. The central midfielder is out of a contract with RB Leipzig in June 2023 and hasn’t agreed a new deal with the Bundesliga side yet.

Premier League giants like Manchester United and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the player. However, he has reiterated that he needs to be convinced by the project and the ambition of the club before he agrees to any transfer.

The soon-to-be 25-year-old has been linked with a reunion with former RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions are interested in signing the player, but it is going to be difficult for them due to the situation in place.

Die Roten are preparing an opening bid worth €18-20 million to enter talks with the Red Bulls club. They have already signed players like Dayot Upamecano and Marcel Sabitzer from Leipzig, as well as their former manager.

Since they are expected to be title competitors next season as well, it will be difficult for Bayern to negotiate Konrad Laimer’s transfer in the summer. This is especially since he probably won’t be starting ahead of Joshua Kimmich or Leon Goretzka.

As a result, his future is yet to be decided and will be one to watch for the upcoming transfer window.
