Thomas Muller has extended his contract with Bayern Munich until 2024, as officially revealed by the club. The player’s previous contract was due to expire in June 2023, and he has agreed a one-year extension with Die Roten.

The 32-year-old is a true one-club player, coming through the Bayern Munich academy and going on to feature for the same club throughout his senior career. Counting his youth days, Muller has been associated with the Bavarians for the last 22 years, starting when he was only ten years old.

Thomas Muller renews contract with Bayern Munich

“I am very happy to have extended my contract with FC Bayern until 2024,” said Müller. “Our common path since I moved to the FCB youth team in 2000 has been a fantastic success story so far. I really enjoy wearing the red colors on and off the pitch every year.”

Thomas Muller is one of the most successful players to have ever featured in the Bundesliga. He has won the league title ten years in a row with the club, and has completed the treble twice, the second being their recent sextuple under Hansi Flick.

The veteran is a very unique player, and has adapted his game to the team over the years. He is now one of the leading assist providers in all of Europe, with 24 assists in 43 games alongside 12 goals in all competitions. He has also been capped 112 times by the German national team, with whom he won the World Cup in 2014.
