NVIDIA isn’t just stopping with the launch of RTX 3050 as it plans to expand its reach in the budget GPU segment which both AMD as well as Intel is targeting in future. As we know a lot of gamers do love these budget GPUs and the best bang for the buck GPU always end up becoming the best seller.

The newly launched NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 is a good piece of gaming hardware but as it’s not available for MSRP anywhere the problem arises then. Still, availability is better than a flagship RTX 3080, however, NVIDIA looks to offer another entry-level GPU for gamers who cannot go that far.

As per the reliable tipster Igor Wallossek, as our confusions surrounding the use of the GA106 GPU for the RTX 3050 became more prominent, we knew NVIDIA would bring another GPU from the same series. This is too obvious a previously it launched the GTX 1660, 1660 Ti and 1660 Super to make the same entry-level offering range for gamers.

It seems NVIDIA wants to replace its GeForce GTX 1660 with a newer variant of RTX 3050 which will use the GA107. The current RTX 3050 graphics card sports a GA106-150 GPU featuring 2560 CUDA cores, 80 Texture Units, 32 ROPs, and 20 RT Cores along with 8GB GDDDR6 memory.

NVIDIA is said to reduce the PCIe Gen4 lanes to eight with the GA107 and there will be no change in design point of view, so there will be a different processor and compatible BIOS. The GPU will be more power-efficient consuming just 115W TDP, but we have no idea about the exact specs, pricing or availability, however, finally, these budget cards do look to have a future in the market.
