Popular hit show on Netflix, Squid Game has received a lot of praise for its plot. The Director of the series Hwang Dong Hyuk declared that he’s on talking terms with the OTT platform’s company about the next two seasons. He does expect to crack the deal of seasons 2 and 3.
Director Hwang Dong Hyuk and Netflix together have dropped a hint of the plotline for the next season that grabbed eyeballs globally. In a recent interview with KBS, Hwang Dong Hyuk declared that the process of discussing seasons 2 and 3 of the show is still on with Netflix and a conclusion will be reached very soon. he knows very well the popularity of the show and that the fans are eagerly waiting for the next plot, that’s also a reason why the entire team is preparing very hard to give the viewers a fantastic storyline.
A glimpse about the plotline for season 2 of Squid Game
Stressing on the plotline for next season, Director Hwang stated the main light will be led on Seon G-Hun (Lee Jung Jae) and showing the truth behind the fatal organisation. He added “The overarching plotline of Season 2 will be the story of the people that Gi Hun meets and the people he chases,”
Netflix also addressed the rumours for season 3 and the possibilities are being looked at from a wide lens but nothing has been finalised as of now!
The mega-popular show dealt with the lives of people who were in debt and failing to find a way, enter a competition of children’s games to win a lot of cash. Seong Gi- Hun is the leading light of the show ( played by Jung Jae) who decides to join the game, hoping to improve his life.
His performance earned him a nomination at Gotham Independent Film Awards, Critics Choice Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
