A new Geekbench leak has just popped that shows one of Intel’s upcoming 12th Gen Alder Lake-P mobile processors – it is the Core i5-1250P. This is nothing but a 28W drawing CPU with 12 cores, with only 4 Performance cores while 8 of them being Efficient cores.
The most surprising fact is that this is not even the flagship 28W SKU with 14 cores i.e. with 8 Performance cores still easily manages to beat one of the most popular processors in the 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H lineup i.e. the Core i7-11800H in Geekbench.
So, the Core i5-1250P comes with a base clock of 2.1 GHz and a boost of around 3.7-4.4 GHz and this processor has been spotted running on an MSI Prestive 14 A12SC laptop. This laptop is a thin & light professional laptop and so, there’s no extensive cooling you see on most gaming laptops.
It is not very surprising to see this 28W CPU beating the 45W drawing Core i7-11800H, which you find on a laptop of gaming laptops these days. As Videocardz compared, this Core i5-1250P is actually 10% faster than the current Core i7-11800H in both single as well multi-core Geekbench tests.
This is really exciting news for Intel fans who have been waiting to see these new 12th Gen Alder Lake mobile processors in action. This 28W drawing Core i5-1250P is one out of the broad lineup Intel is destined to announce on January 4th at CES 2022 where you will also see the high-end 45W SKUs as well.
