Sai Pallavi’s Nithya Reddy Takes Centre Stage in OM Chapter 1

The makers of OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood have unveiled a special character glimpse featuring Sai Pallavi as Nithya Reddy, giving audiences their first detailed look at one of the film’s key characters.

The upcoming action drama brings together Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela, with filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy directing the project. The latest glimpse presents Sai Pallavi in a powerful law-enforcement avatar as Nithya Reddy, an officer investigating the illegal red-sandalwood trade.

The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 20, 2026.

Who Is Nithya Reddy?

The new glimpse reveals that Nithya Reddy is not an ordinary police officer. She is presented as a combination of honesty, intelligence and experience, with a professional journey that takes her from the Andhra Pradesh Police to the Central Bureau of Investigation.

According to the character introduction, Nithya began her career as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in the Andhra Pradesh cadre before being promoted to Additional Superintendent of Police in the CBI and assigned to work with Interpol. Her investigation eventually brings her into a major operation targeting red-sandalwood smuggling.

Her motivation is also deeply personal. Nithya is the daughter of an Indian Forest Service officer from Naidupet in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore district who died while protecting forests. This backstory gives her investigation an emotional connection to the larger conflict surrounding the illegal timber trade.

Sai Pallavi Gets an Intense New Avatar

The Nithya Reddy glimpse showcases Sai Pallavi in a role that moves her into a more action-oriented space. Known for emotionally driven performances, the actress now appears as a determined officer leading a high-stakes investigation.

The character also reunites Sai Pallavi with Rajkumar Periasamy, following their collaboration on Amaran. The director has once again created a role that appears to demand both emotional depth and physical intensity.

TechnoSports has already covered the OM Chapter 1 Sai Pallavi character glimpse, while earlier coverage looked at the Dhanush and Mammootty collaboration.

Dhanush and Mammootty Lead the Cast

Alongside Sai Pallavi, Dhanush and Mammootty headline the film. Sreeleela and veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah are also part of the ensemble. Dhanush is associated with the film as both actor and producer.

The film’s story connects multiple characters through the central investigation, with Dhanush’s character linked to the world of woodcutting and the illegal trade. Mammootty’s character remains comparatively mysterious, adding another layer of curiosity around the movie.

Sai Abhyankkar Powers the Music

Music is another major attraction of OM Chapter 1. Composer Sai Abhyankkar is handling the film’s music and background score.

The technical team includes cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K, editor R. Kalaivanan, production designer Rajeevan and action choreographers Yannick Ben and Kecha Khamphakdee.
