Cue the theme tune. Filming on The Inbetweeners 3 is in full swing in the UK, and the latest set photos just confirmed another fan favourite is back, along with the most famous car in British sitcom history.
Hannah Tointon Returns as Tara
Fans will remember Tara from the show’s third and final series. She was Simon’s girlfriend, the one who pulled him away from his long obsession with Carli D’Amato, at least for a while. With Emily Head already confirmed to return as Carli, the question writes itself: is a Simon-shaped love triangle about to reignite?
Tointon was photographed in a long dark coat, floral scarf, jeans and Converse. In several shots she appears to have a baby bump. Whether that’s a major plot point or a red herring, we don’t know yet.
The Cinquecento Lives
The yellow Fiat Cinquecento with its mismatched red passenger door is back, bumper sticker included. It was spotted on set and later loaded onto a trailer ramp. One nearby house also has a suspicious jagged hole in the brickwork beneath its bay window. Given the car’s track record, fans have their suspicions.

The biggest scene appears to be an arrest. Someone in a brown jacket and cords is led away by two police officers in hi-vis jackets, looking suitably dazed. The identity is unclear, though one guess is Osian Davies. The night shoot drew a crowd, with a large overhead lighting rig turning the cul-de-sac into a fully lit set.
Earlier photos showed the gang filming a big church wedding that appears to belong to Jay.
