K-pop fans have a fresh reason to mark their calendars. ZEROBASEONE, one of the most popular boy groups to emerge from Mnet’s survival show era, just confirmed that two of its members are stepping out with a special project — and the timing couldn’t be tighter.
On September 18, the group unveiled a logo motion teaser introducing ZEROBASEONE EMP, a new sub-unit featuring members Seok Matthew and Park Gun Wook. The name drop instantly got fans buzzing, and the excitement is well justified — their debut mixtape arrives in just a few days, on September 21.

While the group hasn’t revealed full track details yet, the teaser format suggests a compact, mood-driven release rather than a full-length album — a common approach for K-pop sub-units testing chemistry outside their main group dynamic.
