Bang Chan’s Birthday Gift to the World: Stray Kids Leader Donates 300 Million Won to 3 Causes

Most of us get cake on our birthdays. Bang Chan gave back instead. The Stray Kids leader turned 29 on October 3 and marked the day with three generous donations. Stray Kids fans, known as STAY, are already celebrating his kindness.

Bang Chan’s Birthday Donations

Where the Money Goes?

HearCycle: The donation will fund medical expenses and social rehabilitation support for young people with hearing loss.

World Vision: The funds will go toward scholarship programs and customized growth support for vulnerable children and teenagers, including those from low-income backgrounds.

OSEAN: This donation will support coastal cleanups, marine debris removal, and river purification.

The three causes cover youth health, education, and the environment, so the impact is spread across very different needs.

What Bang Chan Said?

In his message, Bang Chan said it means a lot to offer even a small gesture of support in many areas that need a helping hand, from children’s dreams to our own backyard. He added that he hopes the donations reach those in need and help everyone dream together of a better tomorrow.

A Pattern of Giving

This isn’t a one-off. Just last month, in September, Bang Chan donated a total of 200 million won to Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital and the Korean Committee for UNICEF. Counting both, he has given 500 million won in about a month.

Why It Matters?

K-pop idols often use birthdays to give back, but splitting a donation across three causes makes this one stand out. It also shows how fans’ favourite stars use their platforms to make a real difference.
