From a Music Video Set to a Real Romance: Inside T.O.P and Nana’s Confirmed Relationship

Sometimes the best love stories start on a film set. That seems to be the case for former BIGBANG rapper T.O.P and singer-actor Nana, whose relationship just went from rumour to official.

If you follow K-pop news, here is everything you need to know, minus the noise.

The Big Reveal

Korean outlet Dispatch reported that T.O.P (real name Choi Seung-hyun) and Nana (born Im Jin-ah), formerly of After School, had been dating for several months. It published photos of the two on dates. Their agencies then confirmed the relationship on October 2.

How It All Began?

According to T.O.P’s agency, Topspot Pictures, the two met in January while working on the music video for his song Studio54. They grew close during the project, and the agency said the friendship developed into a romantic relationship around June.

It is a classic setup. Long shoot days, creative energy and a shared goal can turn colleagues into something more.

Why Fans Think It Makes Sense?

Dispatch, citing an acquaintance of the couple, said the two have “a deep understanding of each other.” The source pointed to similar paths in their debuts, careers, rumours and the wounds they have suffered.

That fits their stories. T.O.P rose to global fame with BIGBANG before moving into solo music and acting. Nana began in After School and went on to build a strong acting career alongside music. Both have spent years under intense public attention, and that shared experience may be what drew them together.

Nana’s Own Words

Nana responded on the fan platform Bubble, and her tone was refreshingly human. She wrote that fans must have been taken aback, that she was too, and that she felt a little embarrassed. She ended with a promise that the couple would keep seeing each other “happily and healthily.”

Her message feels less like a press statement and more like a note to friends.

Conclusion

This confirmation is calm and sincere, with no drama, only a clear timeline and a message of happiness. For two artists who have faced years of headlines, that may be the best way to share news like this.
