Summertime: Overview

Friendship, Jealousy, and a Summer That Changes Everything

The new poster shows Eun Ho and Do Hyun in school uniforms, splashing each other with water under the summer sun — a carefree image carrying the tagline, “That summer, our season began.” But the teaser hints at deeper tension beneath the playful surface: Do Hyun has quietly harbored feelings for his best friend for years.

That balance shifts when a new transfer student, played by Lim Young Min, grows close to Eun Ho, stirring jealousy in Do Hyun that finally breaks through. In one striking teaser moment, Do Hyun draws a clear line, declaring, “Don’t butt in. He’s mine” — a declaration that signals their friendship is about to become something else entirely.

With its nostalgic summer visuals and a classic love-triangle setup, “Summertime” is shaping up to be one of the season’s most anticipated BL releases. The drama premieres August 28, and fans can also catch Kim Do Min in his previous series “TWENTY-TWENTY” while they wait.
