There’s nothing quite as emotionally gutting as watching someone you love perform on stage — especially when they’re your ex. And that’s exactly the wound See You at Work Tomorrow! is pressing on in its upcoming third episode.

tvN’s newest romance drama is already tugging at heartstrings, and the preview stills for Episode 3 suggest things are about to get a whole lot messier — in the most beautifully painful way.

What’s Happening in Episode 3?

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, tvN’s See You at Work Tomorrow! stars Park Ji Hyun as Cha Ji Yoon, an office worker stuck in a career rut. After becoming entangled with her prickly boss Kang Si Woo (Seo In Guk), she winds up making a fresh start both in her career and in her love life.

But fresh starts are never quite that clean — especially when your first love walks back through the door.

On the previous episode, Cha Ji Yoon’s first love Cho Ga Eul (Choi Kyung Hoon) unexpectedly showed up after ghosting her for eight months. Although she firmly told him that things were over between them, she revealed she hadn’t gotten over him completely when she couldn’t bear to leave his belongings out in the rain and ended up bringing them back inside.

That one quiet moment — bringing his things in from the rain — said more than any confession ever could.

The Concert Scene That Will Break You

In newly released stills from the upcoming third episode, Cha Ji Yoon is unable to take her eyes off Cho Ga Eul as she watches him perform amidst a cheering crowd. After seeing him sing and play the guitar on stage, she is overcome with emotion. Despite her best efforts to move on, she is ultimately unable to hide her feelings, and she winds up leaving the venue and bursting into tears outside.

If you’ve ever sat in a crowd watching someone perform — someone who used to be yours — and felt that particular kind of ache, you already know exactly what this scene feels like. See You at Work Tomorrow! is depicting one of the most universally human emotional experiences with a precision that is already making it must-watch K-drama.

Park Ji Hyun has quietly become one of the most compelling young actresses in Korean television, and this role looks set to be a defining one for her.

What’s the Love Triangle Looking Like?

With Cho Ga Eul having reappeared in Cha Ji Yoon’s life just when she is standing at a new starting line with Kang Si Woo, it remains to be seen how this reunion between exes will impact the three of them.

The setup is classic but never gets old: a new beginning interrupted by an unfinished past. The real question isn’t whether Cha Ji Yoon still has feelings for Cho Ga Eul — the tears outside that concert venue already answered that. The question is what she chooses to do with them.
