ASUS held the launch event of its new ASUS Zenfone 8 series today and we have to talk about the new devices unveiled by the Taiwanese multinational company. The motive of the company is to “defy the ordinary” and they claim that his new series lives up to it. The ASUS Zenfone 8 series consists of two smartphones: Zenfone 8 and Zenfone 8 Flip. ASUS Zenfone 8
The Zenfone 8 flaunts a 5.9-inch Samsung E4 AMOLED display and has a strong refresh rate of 120 Hz. The smartphone is IP68 rated and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G mobile processor. It has a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also includes fingerprint-resistant matte-frosted glass. The smartphone is backed with a glass and a metal body.
In terms of optics, you can find a dual rear camera with a 64 MP IMX686 main sensor and a 12MP IMX363 UW secondary lens. For selfies and video chats, the Zenfone 8 presents a 12MP IMX663 Front Camera. This camera features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Talking about the battery, the smartphone houses a 4,000 mAh battery cell and is paired with a 30W charging support.
The device is offered in Obsidian Black and Horizon Silver colour. It is available in three RAM options which are 6 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB. It also has two storage options that are 128 GB and 256 GB. This Zenfone 8 starts from €599.
Asus Zenfone 8 Flip
The Zenfone 8 Flip sports a 6.67 FHD+ AMOLED display which has a robust 120 Hz refresh rate. It runs on Android 11 and is IP68 certified just like Zenfone 8. The camera module of the smartphone is just stunning with the availability of the Triple Flip Camera system.
This includes a 64 MP IMX686 primary lens which is supported with a 12 MP Ultrawide IMX363 lens and an 8 MP Telephoto sensor. This device is also powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G chipset.
It is coupled with an 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone draws energy from a 5000 mAh battery cell and is paired with a 30W Charging support. The pricing of the device starts from €799 or approximately Rs 71,000.
