The Husband is one of the most anticipated KBS dramas of 2026 — and now we know why. With veteran actress Lee Sang Hee joining the cast as the deeply mysterious Kim Kyung Ae, the suspense just shot through the roof.

What Is The Husband About?

Who Is Lee Sang Hee Playing?

Lee Sang Hee stars as Kim Kyung Ae, a mysterious woman who suddenly appears before Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol) when she finds herself in trouble. Although her words and actions seem undeniably kind and gentle, something about her presence is deeply unsettling — constantly leaving others suspicious of her true intentions.

She’s the kind of character you can’t stop watching — or trusting.

Why Lee Sang Hee Said Yes to This Role

Lee Sang Hee revealed she had previously shared a project with Namkoong Min but never had scenes together — she wanted to finally change that. She also admitted the role felt unfamiliar to her, which made the challenge all the more appealing.

The production team praised her ability to create “intense tension and a sense of unease through the most ordinary appearance,” calling Kim Kyung Ae a catalyst that will drive the drama’s suspense to its peak.

This is the kind of layered acting that defines the best of Korean drama performances — a genre celebrated worldwide for its emotional depth and storytelling.
